Announcement: Troll the Feminist Forum Friday!

Here at Spacefem.com we like to think of ourselves as a nice community so we usually have a rule: you can’t join JUST to disagree with us. Some disagreement is fine, but if you’re just here to try and make us mad we ban you because trolls are distracting, annoying, etc.

Sometimes we even hear of groups planning coordinated efforts just to troll our forum, and we quickly go on lockdown and delete everything, and nobody ever knows we got crapflooded. All that trolling work for nothing? We kinda feel bad for you guys.

So we’ve had another suggestion. What if, one day a week, we don’t ban anybody for trolling?

And that’s why I’m announcing Troll The Feminists Friday!

For this Friday, and maybe other fridays, we’ll let the trolls make any points they want.

There are still some ground rules, we gotta keep this to words, gotta keep it safe, gotta keep it online. So you STILL can’t make death/rape/violence threats against anybody. No posting pictures of people GETTING killed/raped/beaten either. No racial slurs, but you can call us all bitches. This is not a porn site, so no porn, no goatse, no fecal matter. Definitely no doxing. The point of this is to actually hear out some trolls to show people what they’re saying before we swiftly ban them… if their viewpoints are drowned out by tubgirl then we’ll just feel like we’re seeing the same s~~~ over and over again. literally.

But that’s it! If you can express an anti-feminist viewpoint, we will hear you out!

If it goes well we might even have an awards ceremony at the end. The prize is that we’ll hate you slightly less than all the other trolls! Who wants to suggest category ideas? For example:

– Most imaginative portrayal of feminists in general
– Sneakiest mention of women making sandwiches
– Anyone bringing up anything we haven’t heard before (I don’t think anyone will qualify for this but who knows)

And some categories for our established members – like “most patient with a troll” – that’d be fun.

Friday only, trolls! So get your arguments ready to post up in the “feminism” section of our forum, tell us why feminism is stupid, we will let you post away!

WTF!!! Are these children with internet restricted to Fridays by the parents. They sound like a bunch of entitled 10 year olds!

I like how they seem to think anyone who disagrees with them is a troll. Just like any criticism of Anita Sarkeesian is harassment, etc.

I think far worse than trolls, they worry about being ignored.

I got curious and decided to read one of the threads. Most seemed to be girly stuff, not real issues, but found this one. Didn’t make it through the whole thing…stopped after this paragraph.

1. Consent:

This is the basis of it all, I would say. True, ENTHUSIASTIC consent. Consent isn’t just “no means no”, but also “yes means yes”, and a big fat “YES” for that matter, not just any verbal/non-verbal yes. Why I’m emphasizing the enthusiasm part? What does it even mean? It means the two (or more) persons involved in the sexual interaction are GENUINELY desiring this sexual interaction. A lot of times, guys pressure girls into sex. That is not enthusiastic consent. SO, when I look at an art piece (Well TBH, all of the sexy images I have are art, not actual images. Anime style to be specific. I love it and it makes things much easier too, not needing to worry about whether the person really did consent “behind the camera” or not, and whether the person did but now regrets publishing this image. I’ll just continue this post using drawn art as the medium.), I look at it really closely, or more rather, at it’s context. Is the women displaying a desire to be ogled at? Is she enthusiastically consenting to whatever the purpose of the image is? Does she actively desire this sexual interaction? Always, I take the situation and imagine of it’s happening IRL. So she is right in front of me, with the plot of the image happening IRL. Taking it as a real situation, a real flesh and bone human being, what would I do? Again, in a RL situation, if the girl is on a sexy pose directed towards you, willingly inviting you to look/touch/whatever, then it’s OK if you do so. That’s called consented sex. Yes, I take the checklist of RL consent and apply it, even if it’s just an image. I would like to enjoy content that reflects my ethics.

She contradicts herself in the same paragraph and wonders why people makes fun of her thoughts on the topic.
