In this thread, we talk about Hal from Malcolm in the Middle, since he is the best sit-com character ever.

I always felt sorry for Hal. He was just trying to be a good father and a good husband … but his wife was a bitch and he was surrounded by idiots.

MGTOW: because you can (and should) say anything about a woman as long as she isn't within earshot

I have always felt that Bryan Cranston could not have played Walter White from Breaking Bad and the other badass roles half as well if he had not first played Hal.

Thank about it. Mister Cranston was channeling Hal’s dark side when playing Walter White. The series Breaking Bad is basically, Mister Cranston playing the man that Hal would likely become when Hal finally snapped. And Walter White’s story was a wonderful decent into villainy.

I was always a Frasier fan following Cheers, still had that mix of flawed male AND female characters also the last male lead I believe to be portrayed as successful and intelligent in a sitcom.

Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!

Bryan Cranston and Kelsey Grammar are two of my favorite actors. Frasier was in my opinion the best sitcom ever and certainly the best spin off ever, it far far exceeded Cheers, which I thought was basically a dumb show with good points and dead in the water as soon as Diane was de-emphasized. The humor in Frasier still goes over most peoples heads. Latin puns? how f~~~ing cool is that?
