It’s something I’ve seen before, but can’t find out why most topics in the topic list have a white background, and some have a gray background like this:

It seems pretty random, not having to do with the amount of rates the OP gets, the amount of replies, the subforum, nothing… there doesn’t seem to be any logic in this. KM, explain yourself, buddy!

It just means that it’s been moved up to the top of the forum on the actual forum page. Get’s the thread a little more attention if you are looking through the actual forum and not just the latest topics.

Keymaster doesn’t have to explain himself, he’s not a gimp.

    Funny!

But thanks for asking! Don’t hesitate to ask on these things.

These highlighted topics are “sticky”. Meaning…. if they are big news, or have TopGun potential, or went mini-viral to visitors, or a notable intro from a new member, or if the topic is something very relevant to MGTOW, we will bump make it “sticky” for a couple of days, and push it to the forefront of that forum. Just to get more attention – like a sticky note on a fridge.

It also helps prevent duplicate post topics if someone brought the news item already.

The default color for this is an ugly, girly light yellow. Too distracting.
We made it a more neutral darker grey so it’s not so “in your face”.

Sometimes I will make it sticky to remind myself to bookmark it later because it can make a good reference or support topic for something in the future. Really great comments and quotes can be used elsewhere where I might quote someone from another thread….. like “MG-Tower once said….” or “Neravar says…”

    • Occasionally a comment will be good and be added to the quotes and testimonials too.

    • Sticky topics in a forum go to the first page of that forum.

    • When you look at “LATEST TOPICS” you might see them scattered about because LATEST TOPICS are sorted by “latest” and the time stamp.

It’s just a casual nudge to suggest “Hey maybe read this”.
Sticky topics are a default feature & behavior of most major forums engines.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Bro, that’s the common denominator when it cums to dripping wet c~~~y websites, all kinds of color like a 1968 hippy freak stoned on blotter acid with three boxes of Crayola 64s’ and four or five cans of Rustoleum, then let loose in laboratory white room.

And that isn’t the worst of it, it all pops up, flashes like a strobe and moves all around like a winamp screen.
