My personal experience has been any act of generosity, kindness, civility, or propriety directed towards women is usually interpreted as either their divine right to demand and receive, weakness on my behalf for them to exploit ad nauseam, or some lame attempt to gain access to their “self absorbed” vagina/other asset.
Some men also try this however IMPE, the vast majority of attitude and potential for abuse comes from women.
Very rarely is it every interpreted as what is is. A good/helpful deed performed without expectation of recompense.

Somewhere along the line “you’re welcome” replaced “my pleasure” in response to a grateful acknowledgement of ones efforts (a simple thank you).
People are not “welcome” to unlimited access to any resource I may have, that they may want to use.
It no longer “pleases” me to be helpful/generous/kind/civil to people for the most part. So i minimize those efforts.

Never helped a woman in the last 5 years except for my mother. I avoid them at all costs if I can just to get through my day but like leeches they keep coming when you ignore them it turns them on even more. Beware the “strong, independent woman”.

I have never met a strong, independent woman who was nice. Most of these women are bossy, loud, arguementative people who are hard to be around.
I have a hard time carrying on a conversation with strong, independent women. Most of them are feminists.

Yup…when I was younger a woman’s financial situation was of no concern to me when considering if I liked her or not. Its women that value a man’s financial situation, and they can’t figure out why we don’t value theirs. They can never spend enough money, so they just can’t grasp the concept that some of us guys are happy with what we make(and actually make enough to support a stay at home wife and some kids if we wanted to), so we don’t give a f~~~ about how much they have.

The way I see it, is back in the day maybe they weren’t “independent” in the sense that they made enough to have their own apartment and support themselves, but once they married they were part of a team…even if they didn’t bring in as much income, but they cooked and cleaned and did a great job raising the kids, their lack of income was a non factor. I’ll never marry at this point but if I did marry a woman maybe who made 30-40k a year it honestly wouldn’t be worth it for her to work if we had kids considering her income would get destroyed in a high tax bracket after being added on to mine, and practically all she had after taxes would just end up going to daycare so why not just stay home, maintain the house, and say f~~~ you to daycare? Of course though with the way things are these days I’d never f~~~ing agree to this set up because her not working just means the divorce would be that much more painful for me.

Most definitely man. Every “strong independent” woman I’ve ever dated was swimming in debt and mooching money off their parents. Independent to me means I’m making enough to save a little each month so I’m getting ahead in life…independent to them means they’ve dodge the creditors for another month. Literally every single one of them had student loans, a car loan, and credit card debt, and not a single one of them had a credible plan to pay more than the minimum or get themselves out of debt that didn’t involve marrying a sucker.
