Gentlemen, I’m thinking about moving to South America. Not tomorrow! ๐
Learning the variants. First one is Porto Alegre, Brasil. Does someone have any experience on that city? I couldn’t find much information. Nothing definite except a high level of criminality.P.S. Answering the logical question what I gonna do for a living over there? Have no idea right now. I am just looking for a plan B in case of the bailout from here! Since I don’t like the talks that Russia is ready for the turnoff from the Internet.

I just moved out, I was renting a private room (for several months) living with a Portuguese family that moved to the USA. They are from Brazil.. and From what I gathered justice is pretty barbaric in Brazil. The cops will torture their prisoners or kill them if they are convinced of their guilt. After living with those people I would never dare to move to Brazil. I suggest you do some serious homework before committing to such a move.

Okay, gentlemen. Yet lack of the info about Porto Alegre! Medicine, transport, work, estate! Everything! Don’t be shy! Feel free to come closer and share your experience!Happiness for all and let no one be forgotten ("Roadside picnic", Arkady and Boris Strugatsky)
I hear property is cheap in Venezuela.

Panama and costa rica no good anymore?
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
Brasil.
Dear God no, Brazil is a crime ridden s~~~hole (66000 murders a year minimum). Argentina, Uruguay and Chile are the three best.

Anonymous0I suggest you to have a look, for example, at Sovereign man articles, there are a lot of free materials on Internet (including some from SM, also some are in Russian). Also, please, have a look at similar materials related to studying abroad – they’re more detailed and consistent and real in comparison with “success stories” or “miserable failures” about living abroad.
Relocation to another country is not that hard as it looks like from the first glance. I can say, that I’m thinking about that too, but not from perspective just to relocate anywhere else from here. My decision is intertwined with my professional career and more defined by my own plan, agenda, and my own special way. In future I’ll go at such destination, which suits my interests first.
I’m glad that you thinking about Plan B, it’s always worth it! = ) Maybe you could be more interested and persistent in looking up for info about relocation abroad, if you would post little updates on your progress here?
Anyway, I wish you good luck!
I’m not sure where you are from, but you might want to consider a country that is relatively close, perhaps 4-5 hours away. I’ve been to most of the countries in South America and Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile are the best for several reasons. Do your research. To far away for me though, so my top pick right now is Nicaragua. It is still somewhat off the radar and a bit like Costa Rica 20 years ago. Nicaragua and Costa Rica are my two top picks. Beautiful coastlines and friendly people.
It's never to late to be what you might have been...
Well, it’s like a candy store! ๐ Thank you brethren!
I would add the UK to this list right after the Brexit. Just one yet noticeable minus is a cost of living.Happiness for all and let no one be forgotten ("Roadside picnic", Arkady and Boris Strugatsky)

My progress will be like… run for your lives!!! ๐
I’m not going to move anywhere for now cuz I have a s~~~load of plans right here. Also my mother is old enough to move abroad just as is. So it’s just in case of emergency if the Putin’s nomenklatura will totally go insane and start to raise another Iron Curtain. I heard that coming back to exit visas is quite possible. Of course, it sounds crazy but there is no smoke without fire.
Probably you have already paid attention that informational space flooded with all sorts of military-patriotic s~~~. The news about the stuck in the ice US submarine was in the Yandex top for two weekdays!Happiness for all and let no one be forgotten ("Roadside picnic", Arkady and Boris Strugatsky)
Some parts of Asia is ok and Australia NZ too.
I knew a few Russians in Sydney – they were doing ok.Surprisingly Asian cities like Bangkok Kuala Lumpur Singapore all leave you alone if you mind your own business. Safe as long as you know where to stay and where not to go. Weather might be a problem though.
Australia or NZ is probably your best bet as they are asking for people.
North of India is very nice and people like Russians, some have stayed there. Why don’t you take a trip and see for yourself if you can?
I took a look at this. And I thought. If I could go anywhere in the world. i would Visit islands that hardly anyone would ever go to. With almost no government and
Monk EXTREME!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clipperton_Island
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desecheo_IslandBut if you want to go where people speak english? I would suggest Fiji, or around those parts for island living. Also New Zealand. South america has its better places, but stick to where the ex pats hang out at.
Honestly, I don’t see russia being a problem place to live in. I don’t live there mind you, but.. How are you going to stop companies from China not selling bandwidth to Russia?

Guam is also a good place. Lots of High speed traffic goes there. May not be fiber optic, but at least it’s there.
The denser German Populations in South America would also be a good bet.
THe USA is not a bad place either as long as your ass lives the HELL away from people. If you have an internet based business, this may be the way to go. Oddly, I know its a hell hole. But you can get by quite well living in California on the outskirts where there is Very low population density.
Wherever you go, blend in and you will be fine.
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Totally agreed with you, that’s why I wrote – it’s always a good thing to have a Plan B = )
I’m glad to know, that there are still a lot of decent people in Russia, who still thinks sane, despite all of that sabre rattling (which does not provide any use for you or me, or anybody around the world). Once again, good luck!
If I would move alone I could reside even in exotic places. Since I won’t move alone I’m looking for a country with a stable temperature 20-24C, not warmer. The listed South American countries are good enough, except Uruguay. You see, living in Russia you have always to keep your finger on the puls and it’s exhausting. Otherwise, one day you are risking awake in the full s~~~. At my 35 I already lived through it three times (at 8, at 15 and at 25) No more, thanks!
How are you going to stop companies from China not selling bandwidth to Russia?
I beg your pardon. Didn’t understand the question.
THe USA is not a bad place eithe
The United States is legally closed for immigration. The reason why I don’t consider it.

Why donโt you take a trip and see for yourself if you can?
Once I pick a country I will undertake the voyage to see the place personally. My savings are just not enough to travel all around the world! I was thinking of Australia too. Slightly. To me it’s still terra incognita so more research is needed for that Land from down under.

I think most cities in Brazil have high crime rates – they all have favellas.
Move to Salford, UK Suggestius it’s lovely the locals will make you feel most welcome I’m sure.

I lived in Chelyabinsk, a tank city, the city of morose workers and chavs. Salford will meet me like a dear and good friend! ๐

I’m excited for your plans, Suggestius!
I would add the UK to this list right after the Brexit. Just one yet noticeable minus is a cost of living.
Have you considered moving to one of the remoter corners of the Scottish Highlands, or maybe a Scottish island? You might find something much more affordable than other parts of the UK (this is the part of the UK where property hasn’t gone through the roof because of Russian oligarchs pushing prices up ๐ ), and the weather would meet your tastes. You could achieve quite a high degree of isolation; there are people there called crofters who are almost completely self-sufficient. Plus ou would still benefit from the relative stability/lack of police brutality etc. in the UK compared to Brazil etc.

HAHAHAHAHA! Suggestius, I imagine your homies look like this?

There aren't holes in your pockets. It's called marriage.
You could achieve quite a high degree of isolation;
I don’t need to make any efforts to achieve it. Soon a high degree of isolation will not be a problem at all! Just need to be waiting for a new Iron Curtain is established. But that’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid! ๐

From Wikipedia.
Tenants and owner-occupier crofters are required to comply with a range of duties specified in sections 5AA to 5C and 19C of the Crofters (Scotland) Act 1993 as amended. There is a duty to be ordinarily resident within 32km of the croft.
Looks like I’m not meeting requirements.Happiness for all and let no one be forgotten ("Roadside picnic", Arkady and Boris Strugatsky)
I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about Ecuador, lately.
I’m currently more interested in Belize.
English is the official language, there.Costa Rica and Panama are becoming more touristy, thus pricier.
Guatemala, Nicaragua, and many parts of Mexico seem pretty tempting, too.
Keep in mind: if the dollar crashes, the friendliness of the locals to gringos is going to diminish rapidly.
The gang situations in many of those countries is too risky for many who will look like easy pickings to the gangs.
Stay off the main tourist trails and align yourself with honest, friendly natives if you can.- AuthorPosts
