France 1796 prices double every 15 days (304% inflation)
Austria 1922 prices double every 25.5 days (141% inflation)
Germany 1923 prices double every 4 days (29500% inflation)
Greece 1944 prices double every 4 days (13800% inflation)
Hungary 1946 prices double every 15 hours (4.2 x 10 to the power of 16% inflation)
China 1949 prices double every 5.5 days (5070% inflation)
Russia 1992 prices double every 17 days (245% inflation)
    Zimbabwe 2008 prices double every 24 hours (8 x 10 to the power of 10 % inflation)
Venezuela to hit 481% inflation by the end of 2016

    Death by monetary mis-management.

According to a study of 775 fiat currencies by DollarDaze.org, there is no historical precedence for a fiat currency that has succeeded in holding its value. Twenty percent failed through hyperinflation, 21% were destroyed by war, 12% destroyed by independence, 24% were monetarily reformed, and 23% are still in circulation approaching one of the other outcomes.

Is there a point to this. We all know that dollar is toast so what’s the point

Actually I had just finished reading a paper by Hanke & Krus from 2012 in regards to hyperinflation so it seemed like an interesting set of findings to share in the money section. A bit more context wouldn’t have hurt I’ll grant you that especially since I was more interested in deflation/stagflation in relation to hyper inflation.

In the end I suppose the point is to give food for thought to those that hadn’t given it thought. Not every topic is obvious to everyone… it took me 25 years to figure out women weren’t what I thought them to be and if I learned anything over the years is that knowledge bears repeating.

The point is to prepare for the worst. Stockpile food water ammo and learn some wilderness survival skills. Hunt, fish, trap butcher and preserve food. Be self reliant.

It’s always good to have a reminder but honestly you’re preaching to the choir. Most of the men if not all on here halfway to procure food if they need to. My own preference being a preper for the last 30 years…… MRes never go bad and have their own heat source even their own mess kit within each pouch. So for 6 or 7 Bucks you got an entire meal Plus. Other than that the only thing you need is water straw and the number of people around you who own pools. Urban survival is much different even sub urban survival will prove to be a bit of a challenge. My best advice to any man wanting to really go his own way as far as advice. As much physical silver as you can carry enough food for 5 to 7 days and a way to filter water also packing this up on your back with a sleeping bag intent. This is the most s~~~s the fan situation, The Most Extreme Measures. Otherwise fortify your own place and be able to take care of yourself if the power were disrupted for several weeks. At this point barring some kind of Martial law order I think everyone here is going to be ok. The best trade I ever made in my life was physical silver when I bought it for less than $4 an ounce back in the nineties. Not only that I keep Pace with inflation but I also made about 15 times my money back all without having to report any capital gains. Don’t just talk about a problem talk about the problem and give us the solution otherwise don’t talk about the problem

Do you know the difference between the USA and those nations you listed? The populations of those nations were disarmed. While record gun and ammo sales are happening right now in the U.S.

It is easy to steal and enslave those that cannot defend themselves. It is not so easy against a well armed populace.

FFS is right. The best contract is the one that is enforced at gunpoint. As long as I uphold my end of my contract nobody can take me out of this place so for now. My best asset as chauvinist Pig would say is my home. Imagine someone trying to enforce an invalid contract. I don’t think there are a lot of men out there they are going to put up with that s~~~. This is a very slimy election year I’m not crazy about them but honestly if you’re voting for Hillary you don’t belong on mgtow

I love it! 50% of all US household now have at least 1 firearm—but the Dems/socialists are never going to stop trying to disarm us either by outlawing classes of firearms or clamping down on the ammo supply. they always nibble around the edges and they keep eroding the right until there will be nothing left—Just look at what happened to the first amendment, fourth amendment, fifth amendment, the ninth and tenth—all dead letters because to a socialist like hillary/obama the US Constitution is nothing more than “ink on a page”.

And yet in flyover country most Americans own at least one or two Firearms each even if they’re a baby. This is just the way it is the last outpost of freedom and the last Bastion of male dominance until it falls to Hillary. We can do the right thing and avoid the situation but I wonder sometimes if because of what has happened to us we just zone out. No one on this post in mgtow should avoid voting for Donald Trump. Yeah not from an MRa perspective just the fact of the matter is we shouldn’t just walk away let it burn I know it’s popular it’s a great idea but practically it won’t work. Just vote Trump

I agree TattoDave. Trump wasn’t my first pick—I was a Cruz guy. But If Hillary gains the WH its over for at least a generation. With the importation of illegals and the amnesty the Dems will have an unstoppable voting block and the republicans will go the way of the Whig party.

this is assuming of course she doesn’t play chicken with the Russians and guess wrong.

I’ve been waiting for the “just around the corner” dollar implosion since 2011. I have lost a s~~~ load of money on silver, prepping stuff, and gold stocks. I’m not saying the threat isn’t real, but if we haven’t hit the monetary wall, is there one?
    .
To this day, I still believe, and I am still a prepper at heart. I’m just a little more wise about it. I got back in the market 16 months ago, and it’s paid off very well. If the whole s~~~ting boat goes down, there’s no telling what the rules of survival will be.
    .
I don’t think the politicians will ever try to come get all the guns. They’ll have us bring the guns to them in exchange for water or electricity or medical care.

I live in the UK and I have been waiting for some sort of crash for years now. I have been prudently saving all my money for the last three years but it really hasn’t got me anywhere. Interest rates here are 0.25% and the government are busy printing money to keep the economy ticking over. the people that borrowed as much money as they could and put it into houses and other assets are the ones that are doing well.

I have got to the point now where I just do not think this crash is going to happen. What is the point of having six figures in the bank making 1% interest when inflation is 1% or even higher.

So I give in, I am looking at joining the party and buying a house.

For women, everything eventually boils down to Alpha Fucks, Beta Bucks.

The derivatives bubble will cause a huge crash. of course everything from getting a flat tyre t your stubbig your toe will be blamed on one of two things or both. Brexit or Putin. The entire system is garbage. You deposit £10,000 in a bank they lend £100,000 to someone else. they pay interest on money that does not exist then when they can’t the bank takes their house. You see the new world order, the Bilderberg group central banks owned by the Rothschilds et c is all fact and reality as much as the mainstream and the brainwashed pc people (95% of the UK population) will tell you I am just a nut job.
Is Trump correct about voter fraud-probably Is he correct about the media -you bet your life he is. On UK tv and I’m sure it is the same on US TV all you here is people slagging of trump and saying nothing about Haiti, of lies told to the FBI etc etc etc. I watched the final debate on sky and the reporters in the run up and after were appalling the media are quite clearly against trump. But then of course they are because it is all the same cabal. It is no coincidence that Eric Arthur Blair (George Orwell) worked for the BBC between 1941 and 1943. I’ve only read a few extracts from the book but he mentions the ministry of truth and telescreens -you don’t need to be a genius to work it out. What do you thin the real reason Barrack wants a war with Russia is?

All things collapse in the end. I don’t think it should be a reason not to live your life or not buy a house or to let a potential doom scenario to keep you from doing the things you want to do. However it never hurts to be able to get through at least a few months without being reliant on external supply lines.

In any event no matter how well you are prepared if a bad situation lasts too long you will eventually come across too many of the wrong kind of people and you will lose out in the long run unless you are in a large community of like-minded people. Nothing wrong with being armed but having to end up shooting your neighbor because he hasn’t eaten in a week and is coming for your supplies is not going to be as easy as some people think.

As for silver and gold… silver and gold are a store of value but still require there to be a market of some sorts where it can be traded. In a food shortage a can of beans will be more valuable than silver. If you survive the onslaught having a good chunk of silver/gold will be a great start no doubt.

These days the people that actually know what silver is worth seems to be few and far between:

I first started becoming a prepper when Bill Clinton got elected in 1992. I can tell you that I did quadruple my money on Silver but I could have done much better in stocks as I was a Trader at the time. Don’t count on a collapse coming anytime soon I have been waiting for a long long time. Best just to live your life each day having as much fun and happiness as you can. Silver coins are a good idea because you can always spend them if silver goes to zero.
