Yah Monk, I have to say that this coercive control thing is a true trojan horse for women. They are going to use it to destroy innocent men when they decide to stop being compliant and they are going to love it. Asking a woman to pay her fair share of household expenses can probably be made financial control, asking her to clean the house when she has not got a job and is living rent free will be coercive control… However time will tell another story. As the convictions of innocent men for getting a partner to agree to something she did not want to do but was actually fair mount up, so the case law will pile up.

Case law has a lot of weight in the UK. Men will awaken to their ability to use this case law against women -why should I clean the car every Saturday for you? Why should I take care of the children every time you want to go out? Why should I spend money on a new sofa, when I want a new gun, why should I pay all the bills? Its all consensual but its all one party exercising control too because given a free no consequence choice there is very little people would actually like to do for each other. Relationships are all about give and take and that means taking what you don’t actually prefer as a gift to a partner who will be doing the same for you. The law actually legislates against compromise in a relationship and we all know which gender has been doing all the compromising for the last 6 decades. So wait and reap gents.

They might, but few will.

Men do not operate in marriage under the threat of destroying marriage and the partner, that is what women do.

Even in divorce, men do not want bad things to happen to the ex-wives, that is what women do.

So, even if they could use the law they wouldn’t, because it makes no sense to men to extract money and resources from their partner. That is what women do.

There are always exceptions, but they will be few…

The ‘coercion’ thing has been running for several decades, although until now it has been restricted to the financial sphere. It works like this …

Couple decide to defraud the bank. They have a joint property – which means both must sign to give it as security. They take out huge loans, then default. The bank moves to foreclose. She then claims ‘coercive behaviour’ (‘he made me sign’). Bank legally blocked from foreclosing. Couple effectively get away with it.

He thinks that they have been clever, but he certainly hasn’t, because she then divorces him, keeping both the money and the property.

I chose, bought and paid for the house that I live in. The whole thing is a man cave. I have parked motorcycles in my living room and had dinner straight out of the fridge standing in the kitchen in my underwear. It’s my f’kin house. I have no need of either a woman’s permission, approval or forgiveness for anything that goes on there. The reason that this is the case is that no woman has ever been allowed to call my house her ‘home’.
