On the final day of the Supreme Court term last week, Justice Elena Kagan sounded an alarm.

The court’s five conservative members, citing the First Amendment, had just dealt public unions a devastating blow. The day before, the same majority had used the First Amendment to reject a California law requiring religiously oriented “crisis pregnancy centers” to provide women with information about abortion.

The two decisions were the latest in a stunning run of victories for a conservative agenda that has increasingly been built on the foundation of free speech. Conservative groups, borrowing and building on arguments developed by liberals, have used the First Amendment to justify unlimited campaign spending, discrimination against gay couples and attacks on the regulation of tobacco, pharmaceuticals and guns.

I brought this point up in another post in central on a thread started by Gravel Pit. I did not expect to see the liberal press let alone the NYT come out and tell everyone the liberals are going after the 1st Amendment in the courts.
This is the reason everyone needs to step up. Trump needs to have the backing to pack not only the SCOTUS, but federal appointments across the country. Liberals vote on agenda not the law.

Right on Roadmaster. Here in the US, we say what the f~~~ we want, worship or not what the f~~~ we want, and write what the f~~~ we want.

This country was founded for the constitution and bill of rights. It’s the reason we exist. Anyone who’s against the first amendment should be instantly deported to the nearest communist country. Then they can see how great it is when no one has free speech.

The 2A guarantees the 1st (and the rest of them).
