Good choice for a OS. Just keep in mind of the one year support for every two releases of Fedora. Since it is a testbed for Redhat OS system.

You could use fedup to upgrade or repeat and rinse your way by installing a new version of Fedora 24 once the repos empty in a month.

I am using Fedora 22 on a used Thinkpad t410 with a Samsung SSD Evo 850 which takes 5 seconds to boot into the login manager, and 2 seconds into Xfce. Although unless it’s a kernel upgrade, I just suspend my machines, including my Arch Linux system.

Keymaster, I’m glad macs work well for you. Sadly for me, when I was younger, the older style macs with multicolours with that odd mouse Apples used to use gave me more issues then any OS/Computer I ever had in my life. Even the simple act of saving anything would mac OS just simply crash on me.

It’s not the case now, But back then. Windows XP was my go to OS. It still crashes, but not on the same level as a mac. However during windows 7, I ended up looking for a alternative towards MS even if it meant having to relearn and change my way of thinking on computers, since I had a gut feeling that MS is going to fail big time. Just didn’t know it was going to start with window 8 and 10.

With a custom build, If you know what you are doing. You can make a “hackintosh” which would make any stock macbook be put in it’s place. But it is understandable that people like macs for what they are, and that for them. It just bloody works.

Example of OSX running on a Acer laptop. And no it’s not in a virtual box.

Actions have consequences and consequences have prices. Cause and effect at work.
