I am 42 years old and I am not part of this society, which is a shame.  Been put down in highschool, not permitted to play sports because Alphas didn’t want me, and girls never gave me the time of day.  Later in life, I got into solitary pursuits.  I took up acting, write poetry and songs and now I play musical instruments.  But, I find it hard to do these pursuits because I have depression.  Time melts away so fast.  I wanted to play guitar 10 years ago and started to but unfortunately gave up easily.  I need help, I don’t got out much anymore because i don’t want to socialize anymore.  I just drink but that is very destructive and sometimes I feel sick and run down.  Anyway, my name is Nigel and just wanted to say hi to all you MGTOW’s out there.

Having ADD I have experienced many of your problems, except, I did not want their sports, so them not permitting me is a non-issue.

The guitar thing, I love playing it, but getting down on life makes me put down the guitar too, but I have been playing it a lot more lately, I want to get much better at it.

Weather it sits in it’s case or not, one can gage my restfullness, state of mind, etc. You don’t play a guitar, you feel it.

 

However, I sit here at night before work on the computer smoking dope, On my days off I drink beer, smoke dope etc.

YOLO!

I choose beer and dope over women any day, they don’t let me down, and I can control them much better.

 

Point is, I understand dude, do what you want to do, we are not getting younger.

You each have the power and ability to do whatever you put your energy and effort into. It starts with being logical, and restructuring your beliefs. Then you go forth and DO something, anything. What you don’t do is wait for anything or anyone to meet you half way, or even a single step. Seek out and master new talents, be at ease with yourself. KNOW that you are capable and worthy. The Kingdom of Heaven is in all of us, it is up to us to make it happen, good luck.

Hey Nigel, YOU DON’T WANT TO BE PART OF THIS SOCIETY! IT’S ALL F~~~ED UP! 

You’re in the right place, Your depression will subside ALLOT if you cut down on the drinking, too much drinking runs you down and compounds the bad feelings. Everybody here is willing to help you with whatever they can. It’s a life saver for many that felt exactly the same way you do, AND WORSE! Hang in there brother, help’s on the way. We don’t judge anyone here, we help each other figure things out. Welcome aboard!

Hey Nigel. I’m new myself. Plenty of room here. Join in. I’ve played guitar since I was 15 (now 45). She has always stood by me. After a 10 year hiatus she was there waiting for me. Give it another try. Unlike a woman, if you finger her just right you will get something out of her.

I’ll echo the others’ sentiments. Don’t judge your life by someone else’s standards, just do your own thing!

 

Keep up with the writing and pick up the guitar whenever you feel the need. Keep plugging, son!
