Good on you Norway. They have assembled the first all female special forces unit. Equality and all that. But a couple of interesting points about the article:

    1. Men have to be able to run 4 miles carrying a 60 pound pack in under 49 minutes. Women have to be able to do it in under 52 minutes. I guess they are washing out men for no reason who finish between 49 and 52 minutes. Sexism. And yet the women brag about how they do all of the same things the men do. Even though it is right there in black and white that they don’t.

    2. One of the reasons for the all female force is to “take care of the women and children in the buildings that we searched.” I don’t think you need special forces for that, although I do agree that most women need to be trained to take care of anyone but themselves. Maybe that’s what they meant by a special forces unit, one that can take care of someone other than themselves.

Well, good luck gurls. I look forward to the first time they get deployed to see how they do. Something tells me that it won’t work out as well as if they had sent in men. It’s not like that extra 3 minutes could be the difference between life and death. But at least the men that can move faster won’t have to go back and help the weakest link. I wonder if they will have a “no woman left behind” policy? And God help them if they get captured. I’m sure they won’t get raped repeatedly on a daily basis or anything.

    “Equality”. Ain’t it a bitch?

“Special” Forces. I always equated “special” with the short school bus.

    Female soldiers

So they want to be cannon fodder for their overlords. More power to them.
Searching for women and children in houses… so very dangerous, I fear they may break a nail.

The special lactation squad is providing breast milk for infants. Finally they found something a man can’t do.

The unit was started after Norway’s Armed Forces’ Special Command saw an increased need for female special operations soldiers — particularly in places like Afghanistan where male troops were forbidden from communicating with women. The exclusion of half the population was having a detrimental impact on intelligence gathering and building community relations.

“When [Norway] deployed to Afghanistan we saw that we needed female soldiers. Both as female advisers for the Afghan special police unit that we mentored, but also when we did an arrest,” said Col. Frode Kristofferson, the commander of Norway’s special forces. “We needed female soldiers to take care of the women and children in the buildings that we searched.”

THINK OF THE WOMEN AND THE CHILDREN!!!
ESPECIALLY ABOUT THE WOMEN: INDEED IT’S “WOMEN AND CHILDREN”, NOT “CHILDREN AND WOMEN”!!!

“One of the advantages that we see with an all-female unit is that we can have a tailored program and a tailored selection for the female operators,” Kristofferson said, adding that at the end of the one-year program the female soldiers are just as capable as their male counterparts.

“We’re carrying the same weight in the backpack as the boys,” said Tonje, who did not provide her full name due to the unit’s rules. “We do the same tasks.”

    GOOD.
    I LOVE EQUALITY.

    OH, WAIT…

To qualify for the Jegertroppen, applicants have to run about four miles carrying 60 pounds of military gear in under 52 minutes. That’s just three minutes less than their male counterparts who have to do the same thing in under 49 minutes.

Oh, no Untamed. It didn’t say “searching” for women and children in houses. The men would do that. The women would take care of the women and children AFTER the men did all of the heavy lifting. Wouldn’t want to put cupcake in harm’s way right? Besides, if they got killed, then who would take care of the women and children? Men?

Actually, the only thing that I did agree with in the article is that they need women in the field to help gather information, because Muslim women are not allowed to talk to men. But they don’t need to be armed or be special forces to do that. It probably helps, but isn’t mandatory.

Movies over the past 30 years that portray women kicking men’s asses like little muscle maniacs will serve men well.

Conscription is a huge issue and we have two generations of females that don’t understand physical dimorphism trumps “gender” identification.

And they think that because in the West men don’t defend themselves from women that ISIS will abide.

It’s a zero sum game. For every woman going to protect this gynocracy that’s one more man that can go his own way.

    Thanks Feminism.

I’m not following the logic they used to determine that an all-female unit was needed. They needed all women because they have to deal with women and children civilians. I guess men can’t deal with women and children? How does that makes sense.

I also think it’s interesting how they call the program a success, yet they’ve never actually had a mission, much less a successful one. If that’s a success, what exactly was the goal?

And I love how they point out the girls are better at helping each other out. Nice little unmeasurable there. And least we forget, one of the women can shoot better than some of the men. That’s not a ringing endorsement for equality.

    Ok. Then do it.

But in their 60 pounds of military gear, probably a good 10 lbs are tampons, nail polish, polish remover, makeup…

Good point. Because, you know, men don’t create a bond in the military that lasts a lifetime, right? No one is better at helping each other out like men are. That takes loyalty, which is not a female’s strong suit.

Not sure about the US, but in the UK, most servicemen returning from operations that suffer PTSD from prolonged and extreme stress, health issues from the side effects of vaccines etc are discharged and left to fend for themselves. From our Falklands war, more committed suicide than those killed in combat.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-94492/Suicide-Falklands-veterans.html

I have no issue with women wanting to serve in the armed forces. Defending one’s home from attack is a noble cause. I have issues with going elsewhere where the reasons are politically driven and to serve corporations, banks and overlords. I have respect for people who join for the reason to serve, but not the reasons where actions are carried out in someone else’s country. My father served in the RAF but he was against me joining the armed forces when I thought about it. His view is that killing changes you and nowadays you will be asked to do that for reasons other than defending your home or your fellow country man.

So is this social conditioning to get women to join wars?

The special lactation squad is providing breast milk for infants. Finally they found something a man can’t do.

I wasn’t sure how to respond to that, but I couldn’t stop laughing dude , classic !

The exclusion of half the population was having a detrimental impact on intelligence gathering and building community relations.

Are community relations best achieved by not bombing or killing civilians ? No issue with the bad guys though. As for intelligence gathering…..come one…the ones shooting at you are not friendly. The ones not shooting at you are….well not armed….yet.

Actually, the only thing that I did agree with in the article is that they need women in the field to help gather information, because Muslim women are not allowed to talk to men.

Just send in a robot with a communication device. It’s gender neutral..so people shouldn’t take offense…one would hope. I am in favour of a panda bear…maybe I have been watching too much Kung Fu Panda…

And I love how they point out the girls are better at helping each other out.

Yeah right..give it time, PMS time…they are more likely to shoot each other than the enemy. I can see them painting the Humvee ‘pink’, much nicer than combat green or khaki colour

That’s even worse than I thought. What the hell would they need weapons to take care of women and children?
So in fact they’re not soldiers but baby sitters and intel gatherers amongst the indigenous female populace… Wooptydo!

Looks like that to me, DaveV.

I agree with you on serving your country as long as it means defending your home.
My point is Men will still be doing the fighting and the dieing while the “empowered” snowflakes will play pretend and be featured in the news as “women who do all of what the men do blah blah blah…” What utter bulls~~~!

Men have to be able to run 4 miles carrying a 60 pound pack in under 49 minutes. Women have to be able to do it in under 52 minutes.

In other words they’re using the Special Olympics definition of “special” for these particular Special Forces.
