The weirdest place you've ever slept …

Back when I was in High School .. a family relative on my mother’s side was old and getting ready to move to assisted living .. was going to have an auction and sell out what remained of his old business. I was living at home and my parents were partially involved with setting up the sale and asked me if I would spend a couple of hours straightening up the old store before the auction next week on Saturday .. the Auctioneer was going to inventory or do something the next week .. so just making sure the walkways were clear and stuff like that.

I worked alone that Friday afternoon and was really tired because I had been up all night the previous night getting ready for some school end of term exams I had earlier that day.

I was too tired to drive back home .. I didn’t dare drive without a rest. For some reason, I remember I was so tired I couldn’t even attempt it and was afraid I’d doze off behind the wheel. I had drunk energy drinks with caffeine but just stayed tired. It was way too cold outside to rest in the car.

This guy had been an Undertaker years earlier .. along with another business of selling carpeting, tile and flooring before selling out and retiring.
He still had an old coffin on saw horses behind a pile of cardboard. It had been damaged in shipment years earlier and was never used.
I had no where else to lie down other than the floor so I moved some stuff and just took a short rest which turned into a nap in the casket .. with the lids open. I actually duct taped and tied them so they couldn’t fall shut and also propped a strong board over the edge to make sure they couldn’t shut. I just needed a rest.

It must have been about two hours because it was dark when I woke up .. no one will ever know what I did that day .. and it hasn’t bothered me since to have slept in that thing for awhile. It was just a box. The only thing that bothered me was that the head cushion smelled a little musty .. but I rested on my back so it was no problem. The drive home went without incident and napping in that thing might have saved me and the car.

Ive slept on stage. Its weird. You wake up, dont know where you are, and theres all these people stareing at you.hahah.

One time..

Guy I worked for said to meet him at his ex wifes house, hes going there anyways and he will bring my pay check. ( I lived near there)
I get there on time, he calls and says hes running late.
She gives me the remote to the tv, says shes going to work on her computer.

Ive never met her before.

I fall asleep watching tv. I wake up, have no idea whose house Im in!!!

I slept last year in a rock, uldecona, trying to get to la foradada, was at 800 meters high over a rock mountain.

I did like 35-40 km that day from vinaros to uldecona and then up the mountain. It was around 7 in the afternoon when I got to the highest point. Was tired and was getting dark, was Beginning if winter, October.

The humidity according to my cell phone was 90%, was cold, Drops of water formed on the stones and vegetation. I had no tent and no sleeping bag. I put on my rain coat and just slept the best I could ever that hard rock.

Ohhh there where small spiders, long legs, small spiders and a few lizards running around.

The sky was clear, but not many stars.

I did that trip alone.

Was fun.

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

Ohhh also my ex wife, two other friends and me slept in the sidewalk in middle of the habana vieja, right in front of Copelia ice cream building. I was 17 back then.

We went to see a movie, I almost had a knife fight stopping a guy from going into the ladies room with his girlfriend, I stopped him becouse my to be ex wife was in there.

After we got out we lost track of time and we lost the last “camello bus” there was no transport.

Soo we just slept/waited there till 6 in the morning for the first buss to pass.

The things I did to please and surprise that bitch, shame on me.

When I got divorced I had nothing in the way of furniture, but she did leave me the kids (three). So I bought a home and after I got the kids some beds I was broke. I slept on the floor with princess jasmine blankets and sheets my 4 year old daughter had for 12 weeks, until I could afford a mattress. It was another 12 weeks until I got a bed frame and some adult bedding. You do what you have to do.

I have slept several hundred meters underground due to exhaustion without any light while several of my men were dealing with a coal fire a few meters from me….Energizing nap…

Not a 390, a 351 Windsor gutless wonder. I had a 68 Torino 390 that really needed posi! The car could smoke the tires until they catch fire and pop! They actually turn purple before they explode!

Not really weird, but exotic nonetheless: I’ve slept on the floor at an airport in Germany (I just couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore), then slept on chairs at another airport in Africa. I was by myself when I woke up, thought the plane left, got all panicky, but the plane was still there. lol

Hanging almost upside down by my pack straps over a river in flash flood on a mountainside in a raging storm after the loverly stable hill I was walking on collasped and fell over a cliff. I got caught and flipped on a scraggly little scrub and it got dark real fast. Think I banged my head too. Couldn’t see anything and think I just fell asleep from exhaustion. Woke up raging headach and took about two hours to get safe. Always thankfull that I had put my rifle diagonally across my body to have both hands free so I didn’t lose it. Savage 99 in .308, would have cried if I had lost it.

Always wanted to try to sleep in a coffin.

Was waiting in an examination room waiting for the doctor to come in. I was really tired and he was taking a long time, so I just laid down and fell asleep. I woke up and the doctor was staring at me in the doorway. I wonder if he thought I was dead.

If any of you have went through boot camp understands. Close to the end of boot we marched across the compound. When we made it to the destination I had no memory of the march.
