This is a s~~~ show that will not work. This “coup” is to out in the open and to ill-prepared to work.

Historically the coups that work are done in secret with a lot of planning and preparing in secret. And even then, sometimes such coups do not work.

This “coup” attempt to get a lot of people killed and make things worse for everyone involved.

This will make Maduro more paranoid and brutal, with him being more tempted to bring in third parties to help, such as China and Russia, which will turn South America back into a massive proxy war between east and west forces. (While this has been going on in small ways, most of the Cold War fighting has slowed in the passed decade in South America. This included a possible peace deal between the various South American governments and FARC. But, it seems that deal has fallen through.)

Also, there is a real chance this will drive million-man caravans into the U.S. from the south. If such an even happened and the U.S. closed it border with Mexico, forcing that many foreigners in one place in Mexico will likely destabilize both Mexico and the Southwestern U.S.

Our problem for stirring up s~~~ in the Ukraine, in Russia’s backyard. Now Russia will be glad to stir up s~~~ in our backyard.

Personally, I’d send a SEAL team down to Venezuela and sink a Russian ship with limpet mines if they interfere.

Carnage has a point. What happened yesterday in Venezuela was not a war. It was not even a battle. It was a skirmish.

Look at history. Real modern wars at least have tens of thousands of combatants, at the minimum. World War II had millions of soldiers fighting each other.

What happened yesterday in Venezuela was likely only a few hundred soldiers fighting at most. As such, it could be considered a skirmish.

This is what many SJWs do not understand. The SJWs do not grasp the numbers of people that would be fighting in a war. The SJWs think a fist-fight on a street over egos is a battle. That would be a minor disturbance of the peace, not a battle.
