Not sure if this belongs in MGTOW central. so putting it here. Chime in if you have an opinion on placement.

I am a big The Walking Dead (TWD) fan. But… I sometimes get tired of the social indoctrination of all of it. The gay characters, the fierce women, (although Carol is one of my favorite characters) and the lefty/marxist undertones. But the latest threat to the group is a herd of women from a female only encampment. Not sure if this is going to be some not so subtle geocentric propaganda or what. I still love the show, but it seems like there is a lot of girl power crap going on the show at times. Or i am a paranoid MGTOW and I need to lighten up.

The most important thing you can do is ask yourself, what do I really want out of life. Really think about it, and always be true to yourself. Then Do it.

Remember this is mainstream TV, intended for the lowest common denominator types.

Really not surprised to learn they are pushing the usual agendas in it. That’s why I don’t watch this show and am wary of any mainstream TV show.

There’s one thing you can pretty much count on these days when it comes to these sorts of TV shows. If it doesn’t have that garbage in it when it starts out, it will eventually.

I personally used to watch the show a lot before I entered nursing school. After I got accepted and had no life, I pretty much dropped TV like a bad habit. I want to say that I left off on season 5 or 6 and still haven’t gotten back on it.

If it has tits or tires, you know you're going to have problems.

    I wouldn’t know.
Cutout mainstream indoctrination TV in 2009.
That goes for radio and newspapers, too!

It’s fantasy for the female viewers. Game of Thrones is the same.

I bathe in the tears of single moms.

I think this is right on. TV creates programs for the people that watch. If you aren’t getting dates, guess you sit home alone with your cats, watching tv, and sniveling in the fetal position rocking back and forth. And the women “crying their own way” demand strong female story lines so they can feel good about them selves. validated. pathetic.

I still enjoy the TWD though, only show on TV I watch each week. Go to a buddies house to watch, drink beer and discuss. Love the mayhem, guns, survival, psychology, and yes, drama of the show.

Don’t watch TV anymore—haven’t since about 10 years ago, but I was in a hotel last year for a week and watched some of this show—frankly it really didn’t make any sense to me at all. It seemed to me that it was a take on Lord of Flies” albeit with zombies creating “islands”s of humanity instead of the ocean.

Much as I love zombie movies the zombie apocalypse is absurd. After the first winter—no more zombies.

My view of the walking dead’s social engineering is that it puts in peoples mind that when the wheels fall off, the general public will consider all other survivors to be an enemy so we will all kill each other, then the ruling Elite who started it all, will emerge from their underground bunkers and have the whole world for themselves.

The most dangerous foe in such as The Walking Dead are always other survivors whereas in reality, survivors would do better to get together, to rebuild a broken society.

There’s four major factions in play right now: Ricks, Kindom, Saviors and Hilltop. None of them are female exclusive. the Ocenside faction you’re talking about was a small side story, they don’t appear to have any lasting impact on the core storyline. In fact Rick is trying to recruit an army to fight Saviors and there’s no mention at least so far of seeking out Ocenside for help. 🙂
