The Virtue Of Integrity

Integrity is the virtue of practicing what one preaches. Or more importantly, practicing what one believes is right. A ‘man of principle’ is not a man who understands a principle, but a man who understands, accepts, and lives by a principle. There are many reasons why integrity is a virtue.

The first and most important reason to practice one’s beliefs is that if they are right, you will be benefiting your own life. To understand other virtues or principles, and not act by them, is destructive. It is an act against your own best interest. Thank you, Macho. A topic every Man should be acquainted with, and a virtue that we must all strive to keep.

Even though I do not believe women can hold or completely understand the concept of integrity, Men should embrace it for themselves, and apply it for judgement of his MGTOW path based off other’s future actions.

Yes, I would say in these modern days, it is mostly a manly virtue! If women grew integrity overnight it would change the entire world!
Now.. since so many men have been raised by single mothers they grew up without a father figure.. so they have to find it within themselves or find it among their men friends! We can find it on here too through our everyday interaction with our mgtow brothers members!

Integrity is an extremely delicate subject, like an ornate vase. Once broken, it can be repaired – albeit with cracks that never let it become the same value ever again.

Let us have hope that integrity in the future will not be limited to those with an honor code. Perhaps society can learn… in time.

Great topic thanks for posting this brother. It is easier for people avoid being accountable for their behavior and the things they do in their life then to have integrity and practice what they believe in even though it may not be in their best interest. People in the past new that the marriage contract would be wrong for them but they signed it anyway because it was the socially acceptable thing to do.

I am reminded by an old proverb (it’s origins are questionable but it holds value to this discussion) “It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep”. Live your life with integrity because it will not be popular with the masses of today who are doing the opposite.

Did you know that “integrity” is/was one of the most googled words?
There’s a reason for that.

“Integrity” is the opposite of “hypocrisy”. People who hold integrity as a virtue expect hypocrites to account for their discrepancies or alter their beliefs.

Personally, nothing infuriates me more than inconsistency of values. Have I countered my own values? I’m sure I have plenty of times, but I am also able to admit I am a work in progress, and I will make a VERY serious effort to continually work on it and “refine” myself, and at least try to explain and maintain continuity as much as possible. It is the only way to having self-respect.

Hypocrites don’t. They are perfectly content being hypocrites. It absolves them of responsibility and accountability. They don’t even care, and they flip whenever it suits them. It’s their “safe space” , and they can’t live without it. I have no respect for them.

Integrity is meaningless without a religious foundation. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and others had integrity in that they lived what they believed. A child molester and rapist have integrity when they follow through on their beliefs.

An appeal to integrity in Western Civilization assumes Judeo-Christian ethics.

P.S. Even a hypocrite can have integrity if he lives a consistent life of a hypocrite i.e. survival of the fittest or most ruthless.

You assume that integrity will “take them to a bright future”. What of those who are full of integrity but end up living the opposite of a bright future/happy life? These people, my friend, are the majority of human history.

You stated in your original post that not practicing integrity is destructive. Destructive is, based on your context, evil. My reference to Hitler etc., is that appealing to “integrity” can still be destructive.

I was raised by single mothers. They won’t seperate their mouth from butthole.

It took me reading the Bible, and other historical books. To exist, and contribute in my everyday life. Women completely failed in every metric.
