    I have never had a very good relationship with my father. He left when I was ten years old and pretty much ignored me the rest of my life while showering attention and cash on his new family. He re-married a nice Jewish girl a few years after he left and had two daughters. The first of which was born when I was around 18 years old. I recentley spent the weekend at his house and what I saw had me pitying the man. He is now a broken down man, half deaf with the thousand yard stare. He just sits there now like a zombie while the wifes new puppy s~~~s on the carpet and she screams and freaks out. The phone is always ringing off the hook and there is always people coming and going. Nobody speaks quietly, they all shout (which is probably why he is half deaf) and one of his daughters has been spoiled rotten and will be a worry and monetary black hole to him for the rest of his life. When he gets more than two minutes peace he falls asleep sitting up in his chair only to be woken up by the wife to make sure he doesnt miss the dialogue of some stupid TV show. There are always weddings and bar mitzvahs to attend almost every weekend and the list goes on and on. I just sat there thinking, is this really what you wanted? Is this the life you envisioned for yourself? When you look back on your life before it all goes black would you say you did half the things you wanted to do in life?  For all my periodic wallowing in self-pity that I dont have a woman or getting angry because women today are beyond difficult I look at my father and I remember why not being trapped in a soul killing situation like my fathers is an absolute blessing. Sometimes you need a fresh perspective to remind you why you are MGTOW.

    Hope this helps: ” 1My son, pay attention to my wisdom,

    turn your ear to my words of insight,

    2that you may maintain discretion

    and your lips may preserve knowledge.

    3For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey,

    and her speech is smoother than oil;

    4but in the end she is bitter as gall,

    sharp as a double-edged sword.

    5Her feet go down to death;

    her steps lead straight to the grave.

    6She gives no thought to the way of life;

    her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it.

    7Now then, my sons, listen to me;

    do not turn aside from what I say.

    8Keep to a path far from her,

    do not go near the door of her house,

    9lest you lose your honor to others

    and your dignitya to one who is cruel,

    10lest strangers feast on your wealth

    and your toil enrich the house of another.

    11At the end of your life you will groan,

    when your flesh and body are spent.” Sounds like your dad is here

    "It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
