Protocol for the blue lighter is approach the lights, turn off two tone, wait til light goes green, then put two tones back on. He should not have been squawking at the taxi. As has already been mentioned, immediate fine for driver going through red, and no guarantee that appeal will win. For a professional driver such as that taxi, how many fines could he potentially accrue in the middle of London in any given day by going through reds?
