Well one of the real reasons anyway.

Remember it was only a few years ago newly qualified nurses had to go to Australia to get a job. This was going on then.

One of their objectives is the abolition of the NHS. As it’s a political hot potato, it’s being done in stages.

At the moment, they are quietly bringing in bogus charities (the codeword for these is ‘Third Sector’), to take over.

Don’t you love it–the cycle of stupidity.

a) Lets take a private medical system and nationalize it—to save money and deliver care efficiently.
b) Once the government runs things the system becomes costly and inefficient,
c) Some bright boy suggests saving money by contracting out certain government services to the private sector.
d) Eventually the whole government program becomes privatized—isn’t this where we started?

e) Repeat as many times as imbecility permits.

Man, we need some of that nationalized, socialized medicine here in the states. Even more than we already have. We only have to wait like 15 minutes for an X-Ray. We gotta close that gap.

This is exactly why the government should be doing basically nothing–that’s all they end up doing when they’re in charge of everything anyway, but at least nobody would actually expect them to do anything.

Look government, any government is incapable of dong anything but f~~~ing up. So the solution is to get government OUT of as much as possible.

There’s like three things government should do.

1. Provide for a common defense (enforcing borders, national integrity, and protecting the constituency)
2. Establish a common code of law
3. Provide a court to interpret the law and deal with disputes when two people have a contract and one of them renegs on it.

Every god damn time we give them something else to do, within a decade they f~~~ it up.
