I’m quite amazed (in a bad way) at how quickly the feminine part of Australian society is declining. It’s as though things are getting worse by the week!

It’s getting to a point where the vast majority of women under the age of 30 have outright contempt for male attention. I went out on the weekend with some friends and the dancefloor was full of young women dancing with themselves. I mean holding each other and dancing in a way a man and woman may have done a few decades ago. This was not a lesbian bar!

A couple of guys showed interest in some of the women and they literally laughed in their faces with a mix of disgust and genuine surprise that the men could possibly think they were interested in male attention.

10 years ago I was old enough to go out. I remember back then that the technique for picking a girl up was to just grab a hold of her and start dancing. If she wasn’t interested she would wriggle free and give you a dirty look. This interaction was very common and a lot of the time it would work (if you tried it on enough girls).

The women would complain that bars and clubs were full of sleazy men and that they didn’t enjoy all the groping. But of course they would never stop frequenting those places. They would never stop hooking up with guys in one night stands.

I’m not saying that this form of courtship was ideal. In fact it was pretty sad that things were so carnal, so animalistic. But at least there was some male female interaction. A man could still approach a female and expect a chance that she might dance with him.

Nowadays I simply do not see it happening. I don’t see men approaching women anywhere near the frequency that it occurred just 10 years ago. I can see that men have been conditioned not to bother. There is a very real assumption that the women will reject them.

Just to sum up I’m talking about women from 20-28 +/-. These women are openly hostile to male attention that hasn’t been preapproved of by themselves. Young men have all but given up on initiating spontaneous interactions. Instead, they now try their luck on Tindr where interaction has been reduced to a one fingered swipe.

I don’t go clubbing or bar hop anymore, but I’ve seen this first hand fairly recently.

Last fall I was consulting on a project which required me to spend a few weeks on second shift with a repair team. The 2nd shift crew – all men by the way – did an excellent job learning and applying all the new repair procedures, documentation requirements, and reporting formats so I began bringing in donuts, buying pizzas, and all the usual stuff. At the end of my time, I told them I’d stand everyone a couple of rounds at a local club.

We arrived a little before midnight, everyone got a drink, and I settled in for some people watching. All the “little girls” were all dressed up with their hair done, make-up applied, nails painted, and all the rest. All the “little girls” were also completely ignoring all the men. I don’t think I saw one couple.

All the dancing being done was by groups of women and all the tables were taken up by groups of women. If they weren’t dancing or gabbing or squealing, they had their heads buried in their phones. The young men were wandering around with nothing to do but play billiards.

And I’ll bet each and every one of those young women bitched later that night about how there weren’t any men at the club.

That is a scary thought and I think you’re right about that and it become the standard in the future. That’s why I also conditioned myself not to look at them when not necessary. I walk by them and look through them/beyond them, never at them. Literally they have no effect on me.

I’m of the same belief about eye contact. Knowing the violent and unpredictable nature of women I use the same instincts when I’m in the city, or anywhere near gangland USA, I never make eye contact with obvious gang members, it provokes a reaction in any members with a fragile ego.

As an Australian, that came to the USA in 2009 at the age of 38 and is now a nationalized US Citizen, I can say with authority that I’m f~~~ing glad I got out of the land of Bitch-Faced Princesses. The US is closely behind, but Aussie girls only want rich Chads for foreign lands. Although I haven’t been to a country bar in quite sometime, I’m doubtful that it’s gone quite that far in Texas. Although I have seen women dance with each other, it is rare. If a man asks a woman to dance, it is not considered a pickup, and she would be wrong to assume it is. It’s just being social. For example, if a couple goes to a club, it is not rude at all if most of the time they are dancing with other people. But again, I don’t know how much that’s changed.

I would say though that the concept of a ‘girls night out’ has grown exponentially. I don’t think it would be unfair to say that the average woman goes out with her girlfriends more then she does with her husband or boyfriend. I also don’t think that the average man is happy he gets to stay at home.

If you are ever in Vegas, it’s interesting to see the large groups of women all dressed to the nines waiting in the lobby (for those 2 or 3 in their group that are always late). No man around. It always looks like they are more interested in getting dressed up then actually going somewhere fun. I wonder why they don’t just take their pictures in the lobby, then just go back to their rooms and save the cash.
