    It’s about the same as the crap Hollywood dishes out.

    It is an Indie film, getting greenlit/funded, because it ends up backing a “rape culture” narrative about the world.  Mainstream Hollywood now doesn’t try to make self-absorbed people dealing with their own problems out to be superheroes.
