couple of my friends wanted to have an update on the whole Dakota situation. Here’s the skinny after careful inspection we found a huge chunk taking out of the bottom of one of the cylinders in the block might not be a problem. So I’m going to go ahead and chunk it out .30 over and see where it goes. Fortunately I work with an excellent Machinist. Since the nick is at the very bottom of one of the cylinders it most likely could be ground into a radius we will see. Anyway everything went to The Machinist today I’ll get a call on Monday or Tuesday keep you guys updated. To be honest it’s very hard to be without a car when the closest supermarket is almost 10 miles away. I have been doing okay with Uber over the last year but I am totally ready to get out and start exploring. My dog wants to go camping and there is so much gold out here

We mine the other gold where I live. Black gold. Our mining trucks here are giant (CAT 797’s, Komatsu HD1500’s) and their drivers make good money, over $120,000 a year.
It is mostly men that drive these trucks but there is probably 20% women who also drive. I have a friend here who is a mechanic. He has a friend whose job it is to begin the transition from human driven mine trucks, to satellite driven, driverless mine trucks.
This will impact the local economy to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars in lost income to locals.
Can’t you get a cheap Trail bike? How big’s your dog? would he fit in a Top box at the rear?
Would look pretty cool with a flying helmet and googles 🙂
I’ll always have a cheap reliable two wheeled alternative sitting in the garage in case my cars f~~~ed.
Saved my financial ass on more than one ocaision.
I used to love tearing down engines, cleaning, replacing and rebuiling new life into them.
I shy away from it now as just the Gaskets are so f~~~ing expensive.
Can probably get a running motor from a breaker for the price of the gaskets alone.
It's Time to get Wise
Actually my friend it is going to be much cheaper and of better quality to rebuild a V6 as it sits. First of all I don’t have to deal with the machine shop and what I get back as a finished product will be a completely clean long block with about one-third the cost. Before there was a Greg Honda there was a tattoo Dave working on Hondas. I learned the basic principles of mechanical engineering na 2100 hour course talk by Glendale College at which very few people graduated.
Today any toad can work on an aircraft this is why we have many failures. back in the day there actually was integrity. Please never talk to me about religion as I find no Integrity there although I respect your opinion
