This kind of thing is inevitable. The rich will get richer, and the poor will slowly have their money siphoned to the top in time. There are few that break this system, but it is without question that this is the cycle throughout history.
Great article, Jan.
It represents the results 100+ years of allowing women and non-taxpayers to have a voice in how tax $$ get spent.

This is why Trump got elected. When you brag about putting coal miners out of work the way Hillary did you send the wrong message to the middle class. Trump’s the only candidate that talked about bringing jobs back to America and fixing bad trade deals. The middle class started dying in the mid 70’s with the closure of the bulk of our steel mills. It’s been steadily declining since.
"Don't follow in my footsteps...I stepped in something."
When the majority of the working class and poor people become at the very bottom, the rich will start competing with each other and the cycle repeats itself. There will be a lower elite, sub elite and top elite.
A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

Wow, I am somehow only 1,000 dollars of income away from middle class. Not too shabby.

What everyone should worry about is as the middle class has been disenfranchised, the middle class has been arming to the teeth.
Though, the establishment in D.C. mocked the middle class in doing so. Such as Obama stated the middle class will soon only have their guns and bibles to cling to.
Now we have an interesting situation. The establishment looked to be ready to create their dictatorship with Hillary. But, President Donald Trump won the election.
This is why the entire D.C. establishment and their globalists masters are working towards a coup against President Donald Trump.
This election result drove the rank and file progressives insane and those pulling the strings on Hillary seem to have come to believe that the American people whom support President Trump. They know that Trump supporters will use their weapons against any usurpers whom overthrow President Trump.
So, the globalists have been trying different ways to destroy the American people. First was trying to start a war with Russian, then China. Neither have worked. Now they are trying to start a civil war in the U.S. by bringing in Antifa.
It has come out that as far as Antifa members are concern, this is a war of extermination of all “nazis”, which are to Antifa anyone who disagrees with Antifa.
Now the U.S. stands on the knife’s edge. Put there by those whom do not realize the full ramifications of what they working towards. Shortsighted corrupt fools more interested in their thirty pieces of silver than actually do what the people are demanding.
On a side note, this is the one hundredth anniversary of the Communist October Revolution in Russia.
Those funding all this mess have nostalgia of communists, and they would love nothing more than to turn the U.S. fulling into a Soviet tyranny.
The issue is their would-be slaves are to heavy armed to not put up a fight which the globalists and their servants are creating.
Maybe we will get a communist revolution in the U.S., but not in the way the globalists imagine.
From a classic example, the workers whom united to elect President Trump are closer to being the proletariat classic “workers party” of communists. The globalists and their servants could be considered an example of the bourgeoisie and intellectuals which communism is against.
As the old saying goes. Be careful what you wish for. You may receive it.

Anonymous43yes. the world is changing, and it sucks. that’s why I am back in school. I want more and better. Where I was teaching it would take 6 years to make $44K…the average salary in the US. Add the drag of child support, and I just cant make it over the long term.
Well, gentlemen…If we can still afford some beer and grub then who cares…Life is happy according to yourself…LOL…Perhaps I am ingesting too many Diogenes’ philosophy…LOL
We eat, we live, we survive, we are content with our life either as an average or a successful individual.
We will thrive in whatever environment because WE ARE MEN….I stand with feet apart and let my balls hang free...Manginas dont have balls...See how they stand and sit at the whim of their masters...

We will thrive in whatever environment because WE ARE MEN….That is how I see it. I fajitas last night, left overs today. Tomorrow, shopping. I am living better now, making over $50,000 less dollars a year, than I did when I was married. Everything was wasted on garbage, and she would do the shopping while I worked, buying nasty food that no man should be eating.
Yes. Remember the debacle of prohibition. So bad. Women “temperance” groups. Pandering to men in power. Then ignoring the fact government was never created and had no ability for, being a charity with other people’s money.
Now keeping up with the Joneses meant her govt had to have the things others did, and money to spend on stuff that other places she was jealous of had, and her area did not.
This is when the political pandering got intensely bad. Robber barrons and the elite rich were arguably bad enough, but this created the modern perpetual career politicians en mass across the entire country.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
It’s been dead for years now.
Life is change.
You can live well without an iPhone, the latest car or the newest TV. I always said I would rather live in a camper in the forest than give everything to my ex, it scared her because she knew I would do it. Sure I would love my own private jet. I can be totally happy if I finish my life having never ridden in one.
A Seiko is a more reliable watch than a Rolex. An 80’s Mercedes diesel will last you forever if it is maintained.
In a lot of things right now, the only way to win is to not play.
Those funding all this mess have nostalgia of communists, and they would love nothing more than to turn the U.S. fulling into a Soviet tyranny.
They will be in for a rude awakening if they try to mess with me. Believe me.

The cost of complying with regulations is passed on to the consumer. The greater the number of regulations, the greater the cost of compliance. The greater the cost of compliance, the greater the cost for goods and services to the consumer.
What isn’t mentioned in the article is that changing technology in the form of Automation and Artificial Intelligence and the Internet has and is eliminating a lot of jobs. The internet gave rise to corporations such as Amazon which is crushing “brick and mortar” stores. The number of librarians has decreased (thanks to Google). We are on the verge of automated cars replacing uber drivers just like many uber drivers replaced the taxi. We are on the verge of eliminating driver jobs such as truck drivers.
Robotics are eliminating jobs in manufacturing, and Artificial Intelligence is gradually beginning to replace engineering and research positions.
