As we approach fathers day in June – and to all our brothers out there who are fathers and those who are not – the importance of men in our lives cannot be understated. My Dad was a good man who passed away a few months ago. He would have turned 96 next month, so he obviously lived a long life. But he also lived a productive life – building a successful business, serving in World War II, and last but not least – being the father of three children.
Needless to say it was a far different world in 1920 when he was born. He grew up understanding the value of hard work, sacrifice and the inherent strength of men. He lived through the depression then enlisted in the Army in 1941 and served in the far east. When he returned home, he did what many men at the time did – got married and started a family. We all have different viewpoints here as MGTOW’s in regards to marriage, children and relationships – which is what makes this such an engaging place to part of. For my Dad – marriage and family was a top priority. He took care of those he loved. He was a true role model and taught me not to “Man up” as the feminists of today are so fond of saying – but rather to embrace being a man and accept our role in society as builders, thinkers and that a good man takes care of his children. He also taught me to respect women. But in his day – women respected men. Rare was the vitriolic misanthropic tattooed thug loving female we see today. Women like my mom were ladies.
It would be easy to close this by saying “we need more men like my Dad”. The fact is there ARE many more men just like him. But the misogynistic society that has evolved chooses to ignore this majority and focus on the minority of garbage that grabs the headlines.
Thank you brothers for reading.
Agreed. And very well stated. I sometimes wish we could live that way again, but the world will not accept real men anymore.
Respect to your father Truthseeker. I’m happy that you had such a quality role model.
My two favorite holidays:
1) Anniversary of the day I took the red pill and began my MGTOW way of life
2) Happy Not-A-Father’s Day
“We are on strike, we, the men of the mind. We are on strike against self-immolation. We are on strike against the creed of unearned rewards and unrewarded duties. We are on strike against the dogma that the pursuit of one's happiness is evil. We are on strike against the doctrine that life is guilt.”

We can live that way again, however we will need World War III to happen first. Once society is stripped of the majority of its male population, only THEN will women appreciate what they once took for granted.
We humans are a strange bunch. We only appreciate what we have, once we loose it.
Blue-Pill Virgin: Women hate me! That's what it is.
MGTOW Man: Hate them back; it works for me.
Anonymous54The Greatest Generation!! Guys like your Dad saved this planet. They saved our ass. What passes as a sorry ass axcuse for women these days ,have no gratitude for what they did. My favorite day is June 6 D Day. A day when ALL MEN should be proud of being MEN!!

I agree. Have mentioned something similar for the last few years. The only way this country and this planet go back to a more traditional existence is something major to go down like WW 3 or similar apocalyptic event. All this bulls~~~ stuff like feminism, Facebook, girl power, will wash away quickly when everyone is just worried about the basics of life. The family unit would again be the most important thing to folks. The cost would be horrific….
