The Last Soldier Standing Part 2-Inexorable

Barely had the crust dissipated from my eyes, when we were suddenly flanked by a group ominously pointing MAS-36 Rifles.
This was no ordinary military. They had the look of desperation I’d seen before in rebels.
Their language unintelligible to me, fortunately, one of our team began conversing to whom appeared to be the leader of the group. By the strained facial expressions of both, I sensed foreboding.
Without warning or provocation(we were unarmed), a single accurate shot was discharged into the head of our interpreter.
Time seemed to freeze, and before I and others had a chance to react, we were violently shoved into the direction from whence they came from.
