    HELLO!

How about living on $20-$30 per day, per person? Check out this website: http://vanabode.com/
This is all set up in a very stealthy way, in a Chevrolet 2500 Express Van. It can be totally outfitted for about $1500.
I hope this is helpful to anyone who wants to live a frugal, independent, mobile, and stealth lifestyle, either alone or with a partner.

The author is a married christer, and yet the book is still a good read.

A guy I knew in high school did this, only without the wife or the commercial announcements.

I did this last year and it was great. I had (and have on my property) an old camper van that is kitted out very well inside but looks dodgy on the outside. Parked in Walmarts, casino parking lots, sides of side streets, anything out of the way. The plan is to move up to my very rural property next spring and do the same thing without worrying about having to move for the cops, etc.

It is very cheap, you can live very frugally but it takes a paradigm change to do it.

Believe it or not, I was actually perusing this website when I was looking at converting cargo vans into full time homes. No rent/ mortgage, while still working plus being able to bug out of dodge when the fit hits the shan is very sensible to me.

I tried to sleep in my car when i was working out of town a couple years back, it was a nightmare. Every parking lot i tried, someone would come out and tell me there was no overnight parking. I eventually started trying empty lots away from businesses, and drunken homeless guys would knock on my window asking if i had a spare smoke. Any random vehicle parked alongside any road usually will get checked on by a patrol car too.

The solution is to find “legitimate campgrounds,” according to my friend who does this. Truck stops work for him too.

Some towns allow camping in Walmart parking lots, but others do not. (Wally’s likes this because they’re customers after all.)

I have a nephew doing that. Right out of high school. He went from Virginia to Alaska and back. He loved it at first but eventually the missed some of the comforts of a home.
He discovered the hard way you need some cash flow for repairs and upgrades and some cold nights. I think he will do it again once he has better funds.

Next time, I suggest you try a hotel parking lot. A better hotel, at least Holiday Inn or up. No one questions cars in a hotel lot.Try to park away from other cars. Just my 2 cents.
