So by now we know that the new Ghostbusters film will have an all female cast and that could turn out to work well or really bad. With the news about Ghostbusters I felt I should share this news as well. I know not all of you read comics, but I feel this is important because in a way I feel like this is another victory for social justice warriors when it shouldn’t.
In 2011 when DC relaunched with the new 52 Batgirl went back to being a darker and serious book like Batman. Below are some images of how Batgirl was from issues 1-34 which I also want to add was written by a women, Gail Simone.

As you can see there is nothing feminine about the book. She has a battle armor suit, can easily take down bad guys on her own, and even life with her roommate isn’t too stereotypical. Basically she is just like Batman in terms of armor, gadgets, fighting, and in terms of the book: tone and violence. All and all a woman who is part of the Bat family to help make Gotham City a safer place.

Now this week issue 35 came out while it is the same Batgirl we have been reading about for the last 3 years she now lives in Burnside while attending college and it just screams tumblr, feminist, and “empowered woman”

The artwork and tone make it feel like the show Girls. I worry something like this will happen to Ghostbusters. Instead of just giving us awesome characters that are women they are going to try and give us women characters for the sake of being women. If the crazy tumblr feminists are actually getting forms of entertainment catering to them then we should be worried. I know there will be women who aren’t crazy tumblr feminists who would like this since it is trying to appeal to young college aged women, but when you look at everything the new direction does it pleases pretty much every aspect of the tumblr community.

In the end I find this highly ironic since feminists always complain about women in comics and video games always having something that distinctively makes them feminine. Feminists seem to be loving this new run which is funny because Batgirl went from being a book about a bad ass woman kicking ass to a feminine stereotypical 21 year old college woman lol.

Ugh, i shake my head in shame after being a comic book fan (back in the 80s) and seeing it to what it is now. Especially now when everyone is turning female, ghostbusters, Thor, hell i wouldn’t be surprised if a reboot of Swamp Thing becomes female and a feminazi blaming men for world problems as well as pollution.

Never was a fan of Batgirl to begin with.

Wasn’t she crippled by the Joker in the original comics?

Its okay if ghost busters is like THIS then that will hopefully spark more people to join MGTOW or at least rise up against feminizing media.

Feminists are in complete denial of their secret worship of the concept of masculinity. Any time they put a feminist twist on something it portrays the female as having more masculine characteristics, especially when it comes to dealing with combat, which they hypocritically condemn if men are the perpetrators.  They are some of the most transparent fakes to ever slither across the face of the earth.

Actually the feminists haven’t gotten their hands in the comic book industry as much as they want you to think. DC is pretty good bout not pandering, this whole Batgirl thing is kind of their first. Marvel on the other hand will pander left and right to please the feminists. When female Thor was announced they went on talk shows to announce her about 5 months before her debut and went on and on about equality and such. So far female Thor is interesting, but she wil be gone in May as Age of Ultron comes out and Marvel always lets the movies dictates what happens in the books. The fact DC comics is hated by feminists so much shows just how little influence feminists have over them.

Yes she was and she then became Oracle while the Batgirl mantle was passed on to Cassandra Cain and then Stephanie Brown. In the New 52 though it has been retconned where Barbra was shot and paralyzed by the Joker still, but then healed and returned to being Batgirl.

If the new Ghostbusters is like Batgirl just imagine how fun it will be. One wakes up hung over an doesn’t remember her one night stand, the other is working as a Ghostbusters while trying to get through college, and take your pick for what the other 2 can be doing lol.

Oddly enough I think DC realized this and wanted a woman on the book to stop feminists from complaining. Gail said she wasn’t fired from the book, but left because of creative differences. My guess it DC told her to make it more woman like to appeal to younger college age women and she said no. I think DC was hoping that a woman writer because even though the tumblr crowd wants a book like this they would never accept it if the creative team was all men. So that is why they probably got a woman artist on the book now.

Meh! Wasn’t Blunder Woman enough of a feminist for DC’s Franchise? DC is becoming worse and worse by the day. And the worst part is, people are even beginning to accept it. Take the series Arrow, for example. And the movie the Dark Knight. Sure, both are awesome, but none are consistent with the basic DC lore. In Arrow, they changed Oliver’s personality to that of Bruce’s and in Dark Knight, they turned the Joker’s methods into that of the Riddler. And here we see Barbara being changed into Diana. If they keep changing everything like that, everything we read and loved about DC will be gone.

Yup. Got to take those selfies while the citizens of Gotham are getting mugged, beaten and murdered.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Women won’t rest until they ruin comics and video games.

Actually DC is doing great. If you don’t like the New 52 then I can see why you don’t think DC is going good, but Feminists and Social Justice Warriors hate DC so they are doing something right lol. Marvel is the one who is getting worse. When it was announced Meredith and David Finch would be the writer and artist on Wonder Woman starting in November David wouldn’t say Wonder Woman was a feminist when he was being interviewed and that made so many feminists mad. Although it wouldn’t make sense for her to be a feminist since she is dating Superman and a feminist with super powers would just kill all men lol. The Green Arrow was actually made to be a similar character to Batman. The shoe Arrow actually takes a lot of its influence from Green Arrow:The longbow hunters which came out in 1987. Also some other elements were taken from the New 52 Green Arrow. While the Dark Knight trilogy wasn’t like the Batman comics, that was more because Nolan wanted to tell his own Batman story. Nolan did use the comics as a base in the trilogy though. Batman Begins had many elements from Batman Year One and some few Batman the Long Halloween. The Dark Knight Rises had elements from No Mans Land, Knightfall, and The Dark Knight Returns in it. I never thought Nolans Joker was like the Riddler though. Don’t worry though, which the exception of Batman DC is doing just fine.

“Gonna go fight crime, save those people from getting robbed, but first let me take a selfie”

Women will ban all skinny big boobed female characters in comics, but buff, muscular, 6 feet tall men will be allowed lol.

I’m glad I never invested much time in the Marvel/DC world outside of the occasional Wolverine or Punisher comic. Don’t have to see something I liked get ruined.

If Michael Bay gets colon cancer and his asshole rots and falls out then there will be order restored in my life. I grew up with all the 80’s cartoon series that he is striving so hard to ruin.

Fact is, I have been a Green Arrow fan since like…. forever (Being a fan of Archery and Robin Hood eventually led me to read countless green arrow comics. And I hated the serious green arrow. The show was great, but for me, he just was not the green arrow we know. In fact, he is not even  called the “Green Arrow” in the series). As for the Dark Knight series, I loved it. I loved every moment of it until I saw something. I noticed something and like the red pill, once you see it, you cannot see it the other way. Here’s what I noticed: JOKER…. DOES NOT SMILE. Don’t count the two instances of the joker laughing because of him speaking in a serious tone for the rest of the movie just kills it. That’s one, second, he gives puzzles and riddles to Batman just like the Riddler does. He is not a psychopathic killer who just takes fun in killing here, he loves putting those killings in puzzles. Do tell me that this is not what the Riddler does (Like the time when he ties up the enemies and puts guns on hostages’ hands). All directors and writers and comics have their own flavor of Batman, I didn’t hate it because of that. I hated it when I took the red pill.

I won’t say Marvel is getting worse because I never loved Marvel anyway (Except Wolverine and Deadpool). To me, they are just as childish as they always were. But I didn’t know about the Feminist raging on David Finch and Meredith. I don’t hate the new 52 though, I still loved it. But as I said, Wonder Woman was always the feminist symbol since the beginning (See all the series and movies related to her. If nothing points in that direction, She’s an Amazon for god’s sake). But if that changes, I would really love it.

Well if you don’t like the serious Green Arrow then makes sense you wouldn’t like Arrow then. Maybe the DCCU Joker will be more like Mark Hamill’s Joker or even the New 52 Joker, but I never had a problem with Nolans Joker. Speaking of the Riddler though I love how he is portrayed in the Arkham games. My knowledge of Wonder Woman from the comics isn’t too great. Prior to the New 52 I only saw her in team books, but from the new 52 Wonder Woman book, Superman/Wonder Woman, and Justice League nothing comes off her as a feminist so I think we are good lol.

It seem that the Robin character in the New Batman flick with Ben Affleck is going to be played by a woman.

Another token female character, wonderful. Another reason to skip this film.

Well actually Carrie Kelley was Robin in The Dark Knight Returns and Batman v Superman is taking elements from that story. There is a Carrie in the New 52, but she was Damians acting instructor. So in this instance I wouldn’t say this is an instance of political correctness or feminists getting their way, nut more DC just following the comic.
