The self-centred bitches only want it too show off to their Mum and friends, they want an ego boost..and society says they must get this ring, so they follow the rest of the sheep..materialistic nonsense; just another reason not to get married.

The gold is better used for storage of wealth or for chemistry.

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!

If the De Beers cartel ever unleashed their cached supply of surplus diamonds into the market, they would be worthless. Diamonds are not rare. Gold on the other hand…..

The inflated value of diamonds is testament to the gullibility of women, manginas, and blue pill men. What would I know, I’ve never bought one, nor will I ever.

    Prices controlled artificially as well.

This “tradition” didn’t start until around the 70s with feminism anyway. Nowhere else around the world in the history of mankind was a man expected to give a woman such a useless and expensive item for marriage. Most of the time it was women that had to pay men.

Hmm.. I never really thought of it. But imagine for a second if you will, the economical impact of the mass male majority going MGTOW. My my.. how the markets would tumble and fall. And the most insane part of the idea, is how many have tried to manipulate them in the past using complex schemes and tactics, and yet the most effective would be in doing absolutely nothing at all. THAT, would be hilariously brilliant to a degree which few can fathom.

Funny, isn't it? How women thrive on a mans time, attention and resources, while simultaneously telling him he isn't enough...

Feminism tore off that band of gold and threw it in every man’s face! Now they get what they deserve, they reap what they sew, they get absolutely nothing.
My friend is an expert jeweler with over 40 years of experience, he says times in that industry have never been worse, especially since immigrants from India have inundated and will work for mere peanuts. I’ve had him customize my rings, and once we made a custom medallion together when I brought him a pouch of broken gold jewelry. It wasn’t worthy the labor of hammering and annealing for hours just to get out the impurities, as much work as hammering and annealing steel by beating out the carbon, and in much the same way but with lower tempatures.

My brother recently bought an engagement ring and I almost puked in my mouth I felt so ill that he spent so much money on such a worthless thing. Makes me angry to see her wearing that POS ring every time I see them together. The day men stop buying rings will be the day pigs fly, but one can dream and hope. In India they love gold and jewelry it gets crazy there at the amount of gold even a poor household owns. 2 Billion people buying up that stuff it will never go out of style.

Rhinorage, in India it’s customary law that a woman owns her gold no matter who made the purchase (him or her) she own’s it outright and it’s not divided or even considered in a divorce, she leaves with the jewels and the gold, that’s why they have so much gold, it shows their ability and position in society to plunder and master a man in the manipulation of his soul. From the North Pole to the South Pole AWALT.
Look at what they value in any society. Supporting and backing a man is the last thing on their list, mastering and manipulating is the first thing on their list, and the list never changes, the men however do, with each one missing whatever she extracted, heart mind and soul. red pills, yummy yummy!

    Revenue down for DeBeers:

    Boohoo!

I think this is a combination of the effects of the continued recession and also, to a smaller degree, the fact that millions of millennials are choosing not to get married besides being broke.

F~~~ a worthless diamond ring. That trend needs to end. Diamonds are not rare and they have limited uses. The “tradition” is not actually a tradition. It started this past century with an aggressive marketing campaign aimed at high school girls.

I don’t think downward trend is sales is an indication of the end of the engagement ring. At least within the US, marriages are occurring less and less. No marriage, no ring. The other reason is that wealth has accumulated at the top, and the wealthy only have 10 fingers each. The industry will do better when more people have the disposable income to consider being in the market.

I’d also say that there is greater competition for the disposable dollar then there used to be. If a woman has the choice of buying the new diamond earings she wants, or the latest iphone, she probably would go with the iphone.

The engagement ring won’t be gone until you start seeing a % of marriages occurring with no engagement ring involved.

    Ok. Then do it.

An engagement ring is not about love.
An engagement ring is important to a woman because it demonstrates to other women her ability to plunder and manipulate a man. A lady’s value increases in the eyes of other women the more she can control her man.
On the other hand, the more men spend, the weaker they appear.

Gold is still a useful metal. It’s used in a lot of electronics and other items for instance.

As for diamonds? They’re completely worthless. And I’m glad sales are going down.

Even in younger years, I knew diamonds were worthless. Especially after watching this video way before I found MGTOW:

You may not have thought of it, but economists have, and they are scared s~~~less. So are sociologists. That’s why we’re seeing ever increasing shaming bulls~~~ like that insultingly transparent prager hitpiece trying to get men back to the grindstone. Men refusing to be good little workhorses is killing their stock portfolios.

diamonds are worthless. 0 resale value. literally throwing money away.

Hardly. Diamonds are incredibly useful as heat pipes, semiconductors, abrasives, bearing surfaces, cutting surfaces, optics, and on and on.

They only become worthless when you put them on a woman’s finger.

Women are making bucks now! Where the f~~~ is my engagement Sportster 1200 with leather saddle bags, custom chrome and paint?

So I can ride it over a friend’s house and show him what I got, and maybe let him take spin.

God knows ya can’t ride a ring!
