For me, at this point in my monk journey, NFG reminds me of my monk-ism, whereas NSG (No S~~~s Given) is plain old can’t even be bothered to give up the easiest and crappiest of efforts. I’m beyond giving a f~~~. Now I don’t even give a s~~~.
Know when it is your duty to give them zero explanations for your actions.
Saw this feminist on the bus reading a book titled ‘The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F~~~’. Made me think of a dream I might one day have… A bicycle sitting on the bus reading a book with the title ‘How To Swim Like A Fish’…

I read that book. The subtle art of not giving a f~~~. The title is what sold it. It’s really not very good and more of a story time novel about why this one guy decided ‘not to care’. It’s commute time filler. No real lessons or advice with profound depth.
Waste of time.

Heh, no wonder a woman was reading it.
Yeah, she was probably thinking it held mysterious clues to how we MGOOW actually manage to be fine with NGF, including not paying any attention to them. Pussy, sooooo overrated once you get past it. It’s an addiction, it took a lot of work to get to my monk-space that I now find myself in.

You know you’ve beat this world when a person criticizes/shames you and you just silently smile at them. You’re not taking the bait. You’re not shouting back. You’re just cool and they’re confused.
"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)
