1:30 am. Just another night where sleep seems impossible so rather than driving myself crazy from going over all these thoughts inside my head while I toss and turn – I may as well write them all down here seeing as this forum is my only place of solace for the time being.

As time goes on, I understand less and less why I do what I do. I work in media (a dying form of media btw) and for the first 3 years I never called in sick, never missed a day other than when a family member died (only two days off) and came in on many weekends when I was needed (I earn a salary so anytime I give outside regular hours is not paid). For this company that I have been with for several years now, I have only seen a pay increase of $5,000 (I was already being paid a mediocre amount to start) and to show a total lack of respect – they never even bother to pay their employees on time. They have spent most of their money buying up competitor businesses while the people who work for them are expected to work for substandard pay and uphold that cult like mentality of it all being “better for the company.” They also try to impose the whole family dynamic on the work place too, which I for one have always thought to be a totally f~~~ed up cult like way of thinking. I love my family, the people I work with – I am indifferent to at best.

The work I do is the most unfulfilling, useless, vapid, soul sucking nonsense imaginable. Don’t get me wrong, it is the easiest work once you get good at it but it caters to that plastic disposable pop culture that leaves me dead inside. I feel like if my energy and time weren’t drained from this, I could use my skills and talents to create something beautiful and amazing that would at least leave me content with what I have done with my life and could maybe even leave a positive impact on others.

So why the f~~~ do I still do this? I have tried to escape many times. I don’t just think it is the company to blame, I strongly believe it is employment in general. If I some how managed to find another job in this industry without relocating to New York or LA, it would either be the same or worse. Employers always pay you just enough plus a little more so you are always depending on that pay check from them, you are always in that survival mindset which inhibits you from thinking about why you do the things you do from a more rational perspective plus with that little bit extra – it gives you enough comfort to become complacent, lazy and weak. This is a mental prison they put you in, you become a slave to your own vices you develop to take your mind off how awful your 9-5 life is.

Lucky for me, I have MGTOW and I have learned (at times the hard way) to not want much in the way of material things. I cannot be bought with BMWs and gold diggers. I would not take on more responsibilities and stress for marginally more money. The only real value money has for me these days is the freedom it can bring. Work still leaves me dead and exhausted by the end of the day, but I am becoming more disciplined to focus on my online business after hours and since I have learned to live with not much and not want much – it will not take much for me to break free from their tentacles. I am the monster they created. I will not serve. Non Serviam!

I don’t recommend living your life according to song lyrics, but Heart once did a song that said “You gotta do what you can to keep your love alive. And try not to confuse it with what you do to survive.” If you’re looking for spiritual fulfillment from your job then no wonder you’re down.

I strongly believe it is employment in general.

I worked as a technician for 40 years and enjoyed fixing things. However, when the company got sold to a hedge fund things went downhill quickly. I started my own business when things went batty at work. I retired a couple years later. I see people who wish they had better jobs, but I doubt they would be happier. I don’t know what the key to happiness is. But, if all your job is providing you with is a roof over your head and food, well, that’s something. It’s no fun to be homeless. You should congratulate yourself every day for surviving another soul sucking day at work. You’ll figure it out and when you do, you’ll find more adversities to overcome. Life is a never ending challenge. Be thankful for your blessings. You have more than you realize. Most importantly, you have a future.

That’s my feelings exactly, furthermore, I believe that “dead inside” is you logical neurotransmitters being burned out by the illogical things you’re forced to say and do like a puppet with a corporate hand shoved up your ass!

It’s like they’re mentally skullf~~~ing you with their power in numbers and that’s the way they want it done with no regard for logical debate, it happens in friendships too, you realize they’re b-pill programmed to ignore their own suffering, leave alone remedy the situation, in one word, overwhelmed!

    I (intellect) over E (emotion)= mental breakdown

    I over E= MAN.

    E over I= WOMAN.

Equality is obviously a hoax. Thank your nearest three-hole face painter for any confusion and mental discomfort now engineered and infused throughout every facet of this decaying society.

I wouldn’t get caught dead working in a Cultural Marxist revolutionary environment! Their days are like sin, they’re numbered! Reality and real-time are the revolutionaries wise men have always kept their eyes on!

You’re in the wrong camp if you have to eat that s~~~ just to get along! Try a conservative media outlet, they’re only getting stronger and bigger as more and more people see what’s behind the curtains!

You’re likely loosing sleep from job related stress with all your neurotransmitters being set ablaze with the fuels of cultural delusion!

Stop going up and above, Stop giving so much of YOUR TIME, Stop being so reachable, Stop being so willing to take on more, Stop coming in SO MUCH, Slow it ALL down lil by lil, and start providing just enough to maintain, and put all that EXTRA towards your own endeavors, interests, etc.

As far as I am concerned: the plantation also involves your livelihood,(job). I made a career decision that was best for my family at the time not me. The family is gone the company has changed,(gone total bonzo corporate) and I’m stuck there holding on to my pension.
Corporations usually know who they want when a position opens so if you stick your foot in the process and try to negotiate a salary;they MAY play along. truth is they will re-assign you after awhile to fit in the person they want for the position. I won’t delve into reasons why.
Personal fulfillment should not come entirely from family or career. That should come from more personal matters such as activities you like: hobbies working -out etc. When they are more personal; they seem much more fulfilling.
IMO personal fulfillment is one time to be very selfish.

Is there a way for you to derive worth and happiness from something external than work?

Face it – a job is a job. Most people don’t love what they do, it provides a paycheck.

However, what do you do outside of work that gives you hope? That is what I focus on. I love the outdoors and being active and have a huge circle of friends that are into the same. It makes life great and gives me something to look forward to each day.

What is it you are passionate about?

You’ve touched upon something that’s bothered me for a long time: the fact that so many companies expect you to put the company’s “needs” before even your own well-being. Yet, they don’t promise you any sort of long-term loyalty in return. As soon as you’re no longer needed, they’ll toss you out.

You may also find the LESS you do for them, the MORE they think you are doing.

I have experienced this first hand, cutting hours, doing less and they feel you are overwhelmed, overworked, etc.

A lot of blue pillers were ‘worried for me’ when I told them I was quitting my comfortable corporate job. Really this was just a projection of their own fears of stepping off the mouse wheel. But I have never felt more dead inside than that job, or my job before that, where I realised I could not speak the truth, had to ‘play the game’. The mental distress and simultaneous boredom this caused me was unspeakable.

I decided I would rather work menial jobs and keep my sanity, physical and mental health, even for much less money.

F~~~ some silly notion of ‘security’, that’s for women. If you’ve got no one relying on your paychecks then you are free to change your occupation as you see fit.

Continually doing s~~~ you hate just for money to spend on material possessions is daft.

Plus, if you want to make it in something chances are you’ll have to quit your job anyway, take a leap of faith.

I understand this pretty well. I’ve come to accept that I’m unlikely to get much more enjoyment out of my current job. The thing is they pay better than other companies, including bonuses that I won’t receive unless I continue to stay employed here, and I know from experience that it’s not any better at other companies at my field.

I used to switch jobs quite frequently, never staying at the same place for more than around 3 years or so. It always went sour and I moved on. I’ve been at my current job for 7. I could also look at working as an independent contractor, but I’ve always hated the sales part of that deal.

I do have kids that I am on the hook for financially, and want to put through college. I also very much like having financial freedom a higher steady salary provides. I’ve considered the possibility of going out and doing something different after the kids ate out of college, but that is too far often to plan.

So for right now, I keep my goals outside of work, and hope that something at work changes things for the better somehow.

    Ok. Then do it.

Change a few words, and you are describing women instead of companies.

It is interesting how with the increase of women in the workforce, we have seen a decrease in company loyalty to employees.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

    What’s your escape plan?

A business I have going on the side. The hardest part is getting myself to work on it during lunch and after hours due to the fatigue that sets in. Perseverance knows no regret though.

I couldn’t agree more. I work with guys who collect stupid s~~~ that have no mark up in value over time and they typically blow their pay check as soon as they get it. Others try to live the American dream with the wife and two kids in the $600,000+ tiny house in the suburbs put together with sawdust and glue they can’t afford along with two leased cars and everything on credit. It’s never enough either, they just keep piling on more s~~~ and the man usually works more for it all. They look at me like I’m a loser because I don’t want to join in on the race and work myself into an early grave impressing others with all the useless junk I’ve acquired. They continuously upgrade to newer and more expensive cars to give off the illusion of being more successful than they actually are, also bragging about $80 dress socks and $500 dress shirts aren’t uncommon among their group. My mind and body have become just as averse to that life style and way of thinking as it has to a poisonous snake.

You have described it very well. When you’re free of that mental trap you see just how insane and sad that way of living really is.
