“Know your enemy” is a maxim that the US military and intelligence services have spectacularly ignored. Which is why all the “freedom fighters” the US funds end up being uncontrollable terrorists afterwards.

On second thought… maybe that’s exactly the intent.

(Without a doubt that’s the intent.)

the most important and most famous military treatise in Asia

While it is certainly the most notorious military compilation from China, many military scholars suggest others are more important.

A good collection is “The Seven Military Classics of ANCIENT CHINA” pdf copy

While attributed to Sun Tzu, there were many subsequent historians/authors who edited and rewrote portions of “The Art of War” chapters. Some historians believe that Sunzi is based upon other figures and not an actual person.

Many thousand years of military experience and exposure certainly give the Chinese a unique and unparalleled grasp of military strategy and tactics.

Sun Tzu is a book on war, not diplomacy. The point of the book is to exploit every weakness to destroy the enemy.

According to Sun Tzu, acting crazy when corner is a valid tactic. Think about that.
