The first case, the teacher from MA, is not surprising. I am very familiar with that school, as well as the three towns that attend it. Two of the towns are quite affluent, yet the school is only slightly above average. Why? Because the school hires solely based on your college education, not actual skill or proper psychological state. I know of one teacher who got canned for being hostile to students, yet they still kept her on as a coach because the school places more importance on sports than education. The Principal has been placed on leave, because he tried to downplay everything and keep it out of public knowledge.
