So I was at the store buying a few things and got to the cash register and it’s a 20 something chick working as cashier. She starts making small talk and asks me what I’m planning on doing today. Given I’ve been doing a lot of landscaping work around the property I tell her I’ll be doing yard work. She gives me this look that translated into “ewww that sounds gross”, and I told her I didn’t mind it at all to which she replied “You might think it’s fun but that sounds like absolute torture to me.”

I actually take pride in how the property looks and am clearing the property of brush and what not with future plans to plant trees, shrubs, etc., and possibly putting in a small pond. I get some sun, exercise, fresh air and a sense of accomplishment as I make progress. I can just imagine the kind of slob this chick is at home if basic yard work is that big of a turn off for her. Probably has never mowed a yard in her life.
