If I had not found that archive, I would have made one myself.

I have 408 videos from YouTube and these 416 from the archive. All of them = 120 GB archived 4 times by now.

Twice on 2 of my PC’s and 2 more times on 2 perfect condition 250 GB “Pro” drives that came with 2 HDD racks I shot from eBay.

So they will never again get lost.

That’s what I use “leftover HDD’s” for. The backup that no one touches…

You can also embed these videos here, using the “archive.org” (direct ftp) URL.

But there is a forum glitch that makes you lose the edit bar on your text field after posting one of his videos. The glitch is limited to that page you post is on. So other threads and further pages are not affected.

I have done it a couple of times and since on one complained, it seems to be limited to the system of the poster.

Troll threads gave me good testing ground.

Posting unformatted text still works.

Or using the text “edit” field in a different thread and then copy paste your post.

Using the “Link” function is flawless but less attractive. Depending on the user settings, the download window or the embedded player will pop up.

The VLC plugin does a good job.

I was using his videos and his insights as some kind of “teaching material” for lurkers and to enhance my message. The average post would become a wall of text without this enhancement.
