Trust me i have tried, but s~~~ is f~~~ed up, anyway my salary here is medium high class, i make 3300€ month, rent is 450-600€, food and bills another 600-800€.

Here is an article claiming one could retire in Spain on about 20k a year, 25k if they want a more lavish lifestyle, which right now equates to 17.8-22.3k Euro. If you lived off 1500 a month, which you say is what most people make, that would leave you with 1800 a month to invest…or 21,600 a year. 10 years of that savings rate compounded at 7% per year would leave you with 360k…coupled with whatever you end up getting from your government retirement, you could pretty much be set for life with just 10 years of working. If you managed to increase your income or could cut your spending down more, you could probably cut a year or two off that time frame.
I’m having a hard time feeling any pity for someone in a position where they make 2-3x what most people in their country make and could theoretically be set for life and done working in a decade or less.Now here comes the trick, you cant have retirement if you dont work at least 30 years (they changed the legislation five years ago)
Also the last 15 years of earnings is the ammount the are gonna use as base to calculate you retirement.

While people went out on weekends, i burned the midnigth oil, reading books soo big, make the bible looks small, cyclophentane perhidrixiphenantrene is a heck of a word.
There is nothing wrong with me collecting the fruits of my hard labour, and earning more than other becouse i did what they didnt do.
Ohh im saving, i do my best, investing in “safe” investment aint too productive this days, and banks are not safe at all.
Anyway i cant just work in spain 10 years and retire, it doesnt work like that, they force to work untill you are 67 years old or you wont see a penny.
Social security scam and with a 25% population over 65, natality in 1,3 (thanks to muslims), a country that main incomme is tourism and with a 98% debt over PIB, i aint getting any retirement… Probably,now i get back in my hole, i been out in the light too long.

Not in my view.
Nihilism is the simple observation that there is no objective meaning to life. And THAT is true!
The problem is what is done with this conclusion. Some will fall into a coma without energy to do anything. Others will simply do whatever they want without fear of consequences.
The enlightened will use this knowledge to more profound realizations.But those that advocate a meaning to life, usually a religious one, will strongly object to this idea: the antithesis of their beliefs!
A man that spends his life doing good deeds while expecting heavenly reward is not going to accept nihilism easily. He has invested to much and expects a reward for his sacrifices.
Deep down everyone is selfish. Most religions thrive by promises of reward, some in this life and most of it in the after-life.

Many such deaths bother me. I ask myself, “Are they the result of brainwashing?” Martyrs bother me. I think they’re often brainwashed. Google tells me otherwise. You must work for 15 years, raised to 25 by 2027 to get a state pension when you meet the age requirement. You could make 25 years in your early 40s if you started working as a teenager, and your payments are based off how many years worked and how much paid in, so you won’t get the full amount, but you’ll get something.
It sounds a lot like our s~~~ty Social Security system here in the states. Nothing says we can’t retire early, it just says don’t rely too much on your government social security if you retire early because you’ll only get a fraction of what you’d get if you worked the full amount of years to max it. Why plan on being dependent on the state? You have the means to make plenty to be financially independent on your own and gtfo out early.

Age to collect a full government pension and what age you can retire are not the same thing. Nobody is holding a gun to your head forcing you to work til 67. If you want to stop early you just have to build other revenue streams and not worry about a penalty to your government pension.

Its not a whole lot different than here in the states…only its South Americans instead of Muslims and our debt over PIB is 104%. Our social security system is going to go broke. It sucks to see the country on the path its been on pretty much my entire life, but its also my motivation to not just be another lemming that works til 67 and depends on social security to scrape by, and just bitching about how things are without doing anything to change my situation isn’t going to help me not be that lemming.

With all due respect I must state that this advice is bulls~~~ in Australia. Trust me I know, you want the big bucks, you must pay with a serious injury, but the money you do get will never be enough.

You must at least have worked 15 years to get a retirement, with the condition that at least 2 of those 15 years must be in the las years of your retirement.
Now im 34, i have already worked 8 years, if i work 7 years more i should be done, right? Wrong.

Lot of people die that in the 90, when spain was in the construction boom a lot of people from south america came to work here, when SHTF, they when back to rd, some of them like my father where 50 at the time and they pulled it, they got their retirement in 2005-2010, but the goverment guys catched up and they put some barriera to that.

about investment, i have to little to invest like “rich people”, and i decided to.invest the little i have on me, im training again, if i wanna break ahead of thd rest of doctors i have to become the arnold schwatzerneged (or what ever the name is) of doctors.
Soo im doing a second specialty, then i will move to one ” special” zone of spain, this places pay a bit more and taxes are lower. Then i will rebuild my fund and will look for oportunities to invest, i will find something for shure, but i aint risking my money in stock market or that crap. I rather built up slowly like an ant.
There must be a cheat code to life, i will look for it, but if i dont find it, i will have my ant principle to survive.

I read the entire Old Testament, skipping through quite a bit of the “begats”. Began the New Testament, reading all of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and a bit beyond, but never actually finished yet. I need to get back to reading the Bible.
