I like to listen to clips of the Tom Leykis and Dave Ramsey shows because these guys give practical advice. I notice that there are certain types of callers that want to talk about their problems but will not make a serious effort to solve those problems when presented with solutions.

I think some people want to stay in bad relationships because there’s some aspect of it that they don’t want to lose (sex, money, etc.). And some people don’t want to stop swiping their credit cards because they love the feeling they get from buying new merchandise. To them, sticking to a budget is BORING.

Let’s face it: the truth hurts sometimes. The hot chick your banging may leave you for another man when times are tough (and you’ve spent all your money). And the shopping sprees with your credit cards may set you up for failure if you get into an emergency situation where you’re going to need some money quickly. Sometimes people have to experience bad situations to FULLY UNDERSTAND how important it is to make better decisions with their lives.

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)

Both of those guys are good at making it obvious to the caller and the audience, too.
It’s really bad when a guy buries himself in debt until he runs out of credit to please some whore only to have the gold-digger ditch him for the next sucker.
Most of the guys in those situations would never call either of those shows until they are red-pilled and, of course, broke.

Nice post. My example is when my wife left me. I saw it as the worst thing that could possibly happen. Now I KNOW it’s the best thing that happened to me for damn sure. F~~~ her and all the rest of them. My father kept on telling me that I would be glad she dumped me later. As always he was right. May God rest his soul.

Tom is a good guy and what he says is gold about FCDs and managing money. Dave is okay, but too much scripture BS (my opinion) and I lost 2k with one of his endorsed local providers which is basically just advertising no venting. However, his money guides and ideals are on point.

I just recently found Dave Ramsey’s radio show in my area (California). He’s great at quickly digging through the caller’s situations to get to the crux of the issue, and then providing spot on financial advice.

Unfortunately he doesn’t really delve much into giving personal social/advice. Probably for good reason too, because he knows doing so would p~~~ off a whole lot of his blue pill audience. He’s not red pill at all.

In just a few months listening there already have been many times some guy and his girlfriend or wife call the show. They tell their story and all the steps and sacrifices they made to finally get debt free, and often tell their future plans to get married, buy a house, etc. And all I can think is you poor dumb bastard. Sometime soon down the road that bitch is going to court-rape you, and you’re going to be broke or possibly even deeper in debt than when you started associating with that bitch.
