These sure are some interesting times.
A 25 year old teacher was fired…
…because about 3 years ago, she took a topless selfie and beamed it to her then-boyfriend…
…and a student discovered the photo, and shared it with others…
…school board fired her.

She says if a man had topless selfies in a similar situation, he would not be fired, and that is gender discrimination!

When female teachers who rape their male students start getting equal sentences in court as well as articles that call it what it is which is rape, then I’ll listen to her concerns. A male teacher can get 20 years for raping an underaged student while women get probation and then the news media calls it sexual misconduct instead of rape. You can’t have it both ways princess.

Woken want it both ways and its logicaly and legally impossible to have it both ways. If they are the same as a mans chest, then either men touching them are okay because they arent sexual, but if they are sexual but the same as a mans chest then men can sue for sexual harassment when women touch a guys chest if he doesnt want them to.

That’s my thoughts. She’s going about this all wrong. It’s quite clear that male and female breasts are not equivalent. However, she shouldn’t be punished for something that was beyond her control. Yes, she took the picture and gave it her boyfriend, but she was not responsible for it getting on the internet. Even if she was, if it was done before she was hired as a teacher…she did not represent the school in possible way when the photo was taken. If it was while she was a teacher, then SOL for her I’d say.

Honestly, if a man took a picture of his junk and sent it to his GF. Then years later he’s a teacher and gets fired because girls are passing around pics of his junk…should he be fired? I think not.

That’s not to say that send nudes isn’t a stupid thing to do. It’s like locking your car, it’s not stupid not to lock it. It doesn’t mean that you deserve to have your car stolen, or that there’s nothing wrong with stealing your car.

But the court system has no problem stripping a man of his livelihood, reputation and even children for something that he said or posted in a yearbook 30+ years ago. Social media in general can destroy a man who didn’t think before he posted something.
