I considered being a teacher, but in looking into it, I found that men as teachers are automatically assumed a risk as pedophiles. I have no interest in dealing with unnecessary drama in my life.

A sizable portion of those entering Graduate school in the U.S. are former teachers who are seeking a non teaching career.

I went to college to get a teaching cert, got blown out because of excess absences for court appearances, I moved 400 miles to go to another college to get my teaching cert, looked in my home state, found nothing, then moved to the back side of Kansas, and left teaching after 2 years. I was tired of being called into the principal’s office every week everytime a kid didn’t like doing his homework, or I told him to sit down and pay attention in class, making up stories and calling me a racist, tired of the kids antics, tired of what I had to teach and how to teach it. In short, I’m out.

Teacher shortage? Oh well. not my circus, not my monkeys.

When my students call me the white devil, and I find dead birds and 9mm casings on my doorstep, time to get out. The sad part is, what ever white devil is trying to teach them and they disrespect and ignore, they are still illiterate in 2 languages. oh well. I’m out.

Schools in the US nowadays will hire a man before they hire a woman because men know how to handle the students better. The students do not often act out in the mans class. The only downside to this is, men are often pushed into administrative roles and out of the classroom.

Here is a radical notion limit the number of classes and the schooling hours. Learn the same if not more and spend a f~~~ lot less money.

I came from a family of teachers. My dad was a teacher that became a principle. He left it and retired a draftsman at TVA. My mom was a teacher and my own teacher in the second grade, she got out because it later gave her PTSD after she was stabbed. My sister was a teacher in special education, she wound up a bipolar basket case and now draws a check for it. Me? I hate bullies and demand respect, I would do society a favor by putting a kid through the wall if I were a teacher. I have taught astronomy for a few hours at a private school and teach kids, including scouts under the stars with my telescope with my astronomy club. I never had a problem with a kid or a parent and everyone wants to learn and see. However, that is very different from being an actual teacher in a school. Nations like Japan show deep respect to teachers but in the USA, they are treated like crap by the school, the kids and the parents. Teachers get a degree that gives them less than what a high school drop-out construction worker makes. Teachers pay is so low that many teachers are on food stamps.

The crisis comes as President Donald Trump has proposed slashing federal programs that help teachers and schools.

Like this is somehow Trump’s fault. We all know that money wasn’t going into the teachers’ pockets anyway. Maybe raising wages for faculty instead of building your third football stadium is the real solution, but hey, what do I know, I’m not a teacher . . . oh wait, yes I am.

I found that men as teachers are automatically assumed a risk as pedophiles.

If I ever quit, this will probably be the reason. It’s a bit stressful to have to walk on eggshells around your students while the female teachers are all getting nice and cozy with theirs.

Women are better at multitasking? Fucking up several things at once is not multitasking.
