Foreword: I actually don’t have a problem with paying taxes, I accept that there are things which I as an individual am simply not capable of providing alone. Society as a whole must provide and pay for these things and one of the functions of government is to administrate that provision.

That said this afternoon when I got home from work I found my annual tax summary from the lovely folks at HMRC.

Reading this thing made my blood boil both at just how much I’m paying and how much is being wasted on my behalf.

Without going too deep into the actual numbers:
I paid 23% of my gross income in income tax and national insurance contributions last year

A full quarter of that was spent on welfare, not including the state pension, granted that does include valid causes like genuine long term sickness and disability but also includes large numbers of bone idle f~~~ers too lazy to work and single mothers and their chadspawn being kept in some cases in far better lives than the poor suckers paying for it.

20% was spent on the NHS, also a worthy cause, but so much of it being wasted overpaying massively for drugs and services and on the 50% of staff who are little more than bureaucrats with no clinical experience

12% on an education system which is sending school leavers into the world with barely functional literacy and numeracy skills and little to no capacity for critical thinking.

2% on government administration, £1 in every 50 is spent on administrating the disbursement of the other 49

1.7% on the environment, all the schemes and initiatives to reduce the emissions of 65m people while China’s 1.3bn keep ramping theirs up

1.2% on overseas aid, a legal requirement and expected to potentially reach £16Bn this year

1.1% on the UK contribution to the EU budget. Another corrupt institution whose accounts haven’t been signed off for decades, this particular burden should at least be lifted soon.

So much waste at the national level, leading to such a large national debt that 5.3% of general taxation is being spent on just on interest payments, not capital repayment, this is more than the 5.2% being claimed to be being spent on national defence, this is a criminal waste of resources the cutting of which could put the country in the black tomorrow and given time actually return the nation to prosperity

Bearing in mind this doesn’t include council (local) taxation with all its incumbent waste or consumption taxes such as VAT and a variety of duties on everything from booze to petrol

Simply put where is all the f~~~ing money going?

I don’t know about your country, but in the US the largest concentration of millionaires is in the Washington DC area. The one part of our country that was almost unaffected by the financial meltdown in 2008 was the Washington DC area.

I think the Hunger Games and their districts, where the government district was BY FAR the most extravagant, had it about right.

I’ve been on council estates where the inhabitants act like they’re on a holiday camp. They all have massive TVs and sound systems. And they always manage to find money for weed or booze.

8 of the 10 wealthiest counties, in the entire USA, surround Washington DC. That’s where all of our tax $$$ are being p~~~ed away.

I can accept paying taxes for infrastructure , fixing potholes, paying the police to “serve and protect” CITIZENS, efficient waste disposal, power line installations, street sweeping etc.

… but I was very relieved to learn that President Trump will stop using our taxes to fund abortions and “birth control” freebies here and abroad. That’s the s~~~ that turns my stomach. And funding a f~~~ing single mother with my labor, because she didn’t use one of 12 forms of state-provided birth control available to her.

I will still wish her a nice day in passing though.

I’m going to take a picture of the next single mothers kids I see for my fridge. At least if I sponsor a kid in Africa they write a letter and send a picture. Taxes this year were BRUTAL!

Taxes will go up every year, at some point taxes being taken out of the market will affect people’s comsumption .

I was talking to a trucker and his wife, the guy was 70 and still driving truck. I thought he loved his job, no. They never saved a nickel. They spent it as fast is it came in.

Yeah, I hear you. Every year you’d think that they could at least send a father’s day card. One card from a family of 12 would be appreciated.
I too get tired of paying for these bitches that have made poor choices. They claim to be in poverty and not be able to afford insurance for their cars and for themselves but they all have an iPhone. Their cars are uninsured yet they can afford thousand dollar rims to hype their street game. Going by the projects in my area is enough to p~~~ you off to. My job enables me to go into these establishments and it is bulls~~~. Every house/apartment has two or three satellite dishes on the roof per residence. They have industrial sized air conditioners and in the winter they set their thermostat to friggin’ 90 while keeping a window open “because it’s too hot”. Their entertainment systems consist of top of the line stereo equipment, 55 inch flat screen TV with Xbox or gaming system equivalent. They also have high speed internet as well. The average working person would be hard pressed to afford this stuff and they get it without working at all.

I sat at home watching the budget today . What a joke.
More austerity and higher taxes.

The bankers through their predatory lenidng and asset stripping, charging interest on money that doesn’t exist f~~~ed themselves so we had to bail them out and guess who deals with the hardhsip…

F~~~s sake, I have never voted for any party in my 40 years on this s~~~ hole island as it is all the same face serving the scum who run the world.

You’ll remember the poll tax protest back in 1990 when where they kettled them into trafalgar square then charged at them with horses and police land drovers and beat the f~~~ out of them.
