Some of us saw this coming back in the late 90s… when the Grand Cherokee Laredo came out… it was headed to what we see now… nothing but BOX. And all women, they’re boxes too. Their cell phones are also boxes. Boxes, driving Boxes, Playing on Boxes… a bunch of nincumpoops.
15 Different Brands…. all the exact same damn thing…..
ACURA

KIA

JEEP

RANGE ROVER

BMW

AUDI
FORD (notice Ford understands what sells… it looks like a Range Rover)

TOYOTA

HONDA

DODGE

TESLA GAY S~~~

ALFA ROMEO
SUBARU OUTBACK

MERCEDES

GMC

They’re all so unique don’t you know?
I ride on two wheels.
1. Lower insurance! Really low, look up the rates yourself. I pay less than 1/12th the cost of car insurance…
2. Ability to escape traffic because narrow and small.
3. Mileage
4. Free Parking, Fast Parking
5. Fun
6. low price to buy
7. self serviceThe crossovers posted are not SUVs, and the compact SUVs are not full size SUVs but rather boxy small cars.
And SUVs are SUVs, they are going to have some similar characteristics that make them the same class of vehicle. You gonna bitch all pickup trucks have similar looks too? And by god they all have a bed in the back to haul s~~~ in too. Stupid conformists.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
I just need an affordable and reliable set of wheels. I’d be great if it looks good too, but I don’t give a crap what women think about it.
We just don't realize life's most significant events while they're happening. Back then, I thought, "Well, there'll be other days". I didn't realize that that was the only day. - "Moonlight" Graham

Anonymous1I agree. Most vehicles look the same. Its boring to me. On top of that, the price tag.. monthly payments, full coverage insurance.. Not impressed in the least. I live in salt country, the vehicles are near junk after ten winters anyways.
Motorcycles are the most economical by far.
All of my vehicles are old to oldish, with plenty of parts available. Unique is what i aim for. Not very impressive but highly funtional. My 02 honda insight, for example, is just for road trips. 50+ mpg, and easy to work on.
Life is easier when you dont have tp gaf about what other people think.
Those are NOT real SUV’s. They’re technically called “crossover” vehicles, but I like to use the term “half-vans.” They look like a small Chrysler minivan that’s been cut in half. A REAL SUV is something like a Cadilllac Escalade, GMC Yukon, or Chevy Suburban/Tahoe. The new body style (2015 – present) absolutely SUCKS though. The back is 1/2 the size of the older style SUV’s and they’re really hard to get in. They’re cramped inside and the windows are so small they’re like the mid-evil castle slits they used to shoot arrows through. That’s why I bought a used Cadillac Escalade with the older body style (2007 – 2014). It’s so much better than the new design it’s not even funny.
If you look at it, all cars from the early 2000’s forward are pretty much a copy of one another. The car design industries died at least 18 to 20 years ago, and we got stuck with deisgn-for-profit, where they can share platforms among their cars and save a s~~~ ton on costs.
Hell, look at super and hypercars too… They are not very different from one another, it looks like they came out of the same classroom of designers.
But, to be honest, it is our fault. We paid for those matchboxes, we sent the message to the makers that this was what we wanted, with our wallets, when we (men) bought those cars to our pumpkins and kids, instead of refusing to buy them and boycotting the crap out of it.
Same has happened with bikes. Not a lot of variety these days, BUT, the bike Market has been catching on with old style bikes, in order to stay afloat these days. We can see old styles of bikes like Café Racers, old design racing bikes, nakeds, motards and such, to attract older buyers and new ones, by design, power and functionality.
Car manufacturers should do the same."Young was I once, I walked alone, and bewildered seemed in the way; then I found me another and rich I thought me, for man is the joy of man." Odin, Hàvamàl, stanza 47.
Given that all car designs go through a wind tunnel, it is inevitable that they will eventually all look the same.
All fair points. Secret Agent, Dark Ryu and others are correct, those aren’t technically SUVs. (though Google search for SUVs brought them, the term seems to be blurring). But I agree
And yeah, I’d say the same for Pick Up trucks too LOL. Apart from the Tacoma and Colorado… they all look like a s~~~ copy of eachother.
Pick Up trucks need to go back to the way they looked 40 years ago. Even the 80s trucks looked better.
Why are they so big…
anyway.. it was fun to see all the brands. A price comparison would be cool too but I didnt want to do the extra work. Most of us know which ones are the most affordable anyway.
Wake me up when they invent a Crossover with a long bed that can hold a motorcycle, then Im laying down the money.
Miss my previous generation Explorer. Tons of room, leather, sunroof, big tires, still fit in a parking space, rode like a car, plenty of room for s~~~ in the back… loved it.
No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.
homskled, that Box video was pretty funny, thanks
All of them… just a box in a cage bro.
Yep… “Think outside the box” they said. Then put your ass into a box, shut up and pay. Ha Ha!!

#GenderSegragationNow!“Think outside the box”
Right!
or how about:
“We didn’t raise the bar, we are the Bar” Like getting hit in the face with a bar… $40K for a plastic pick-up truck
I don’t seen what the complaint is. You don’t want an SUV, you didn’t get one. You got a motorcycle that fits your needs. And since being different then everyone else is important, it’s a good thing more people aren’t buying motorcycles.
And in general, the longer a product is on the market, the more they will gravitate towards looking the same, since they meet the requirements of the largest group of customers. And then people will get tired of it and switch to something else that doesn’t meet their needs as well just to be different. Or a new product comes out that does a better job of meeting needs. It’s the way things work.
BTW, motorcycles all look the same to me.
Ok. Then do it.

or how about:
“We didn’t raise the bar, we are the Bar” Like getting hit in the face with a bar… $40K for a plastic pick-up truck…worth half that once you drive it off the lot and a quarter of that a year after. Plus higher insurance fees because it’s a Sport Utility Vehicule blahblahblah… all that for a toy, lol

there is no complaint, this is just an aimless thread. Sort of mocking the vehicles that boomers buy for their trophy wives…
just aimless ribbing is all…
In truth, I have driven many of these SUVs (Crossovers) or been a passenger in them and they are fun, very nice, comfy and safe.
PS. Motorcycle don’t all look the same! hehheh
I forgot LEXUS lol, how could I !!!

These two bikes don’t look similar to me: a Harley Ultra Classic and a BMW GS

Similarly, this Kawasaki H2R bears no semblance to this Ducati Hypermotard

None of them look like this Vespa Armani (a $10,000 scooter lol… dont buy this… if you buy a scooter, buy a Taiwanese one like the second picture, only $3500)

now that I look again, yah, they all look the same LOL, yer right
