Sure you know how to love

So you say you wanted someone to love,
Who’d fit you like a glove, a good bloke
Though you only expected someone to feed your ego with a kind stroke
You traded pretty smiles to maintain him in the misery in which he dove

You said you knew how you would love him,
Yet your heart was nowhere to be seen
Too busy too see him, crying, shattered,
Too selfish to even care about his ruin

You left like autumn, leaving all that lived now dead
The fruits have now fallen and rotten
Though unlike your sour afterstate, they’ll be forgotten

You only knew how to be loved,
You were too busy smelling the flowers of his favours
To realize that love has to be requited

That’s it, can you give me your opinions, I’m trying to improve my writing skills, so if you could give me a note/10 or something so I can get an idea, that’d be great.
