I usually don’t care about silly hashtag movements but I think this would help us. Singer Alicia Keys is making it mainstream. I saw her without makeup and it quickly turned off any desires I had of her. This should spread like wildfire so people can truly see how hideous most women are under their layers of makeup.

I disagree. I don’t want to see what most women look like without makeup. I understand the principle you’re getting at, as well as what Keys is trying to say, but I prefer makeup over no makeup.

Now, I’m not saying women should be shamed for going around with no makeup, just don’t complain when I don’t want to look at your mug when you aren’t wearing makeup. Same goes for everything else. In the modern world, women (and men) have many options to improve their health and the way they look. I’m not going to stop appreciating those who put for the effort just so those that don’t or can’t feel better about themselves.

I can appreciate narwhal’s point of view, but since I try and avoid women as much as i can it makes no difference to me whatever. In fact it may actually be beneficial since that would mean less distractions for the lizard brain. Plz understand that I grew up near a college setting with a few hippie types around in the 1970’s and at times my much older sister brought home gal friends when i was just a kid .. so since then I’ve been kind of attracted to the “no make-up and long hair look.” They even baby-sat me as a youngster. I remember playing the floor game “twister” with wannabe hippie college girls almost two decades older than me .. and i was only a child. Having said that, I’ll be the first one to cry out to the cosmos that under the headbands .. they’re all awalts to the core. Still, I do have a soft spot for the true hippie girls of the late sixties and early seventies. I still believe there was a period just post Woodstock when some (maybe, just a few) women might have been segwaying slightly more in the direction of a fledgling immature unrefined -dare I say – unicorn .. with respect to a handful of the true female the Flower Children. Even these were all eventually absorbed into the women’s movement so everything ended rather abruptly about 1973 .. and this brief and fleeting abnormality will never happen again .. at least in my lifetime.

Some women look very different when they wear make ups. I remember my neighbor in Huntington Beach, many years ago. I thought she was quite pretty, but then after several months of living there I happened to see her without make ups one time.. she just took a shower and was doing something in her patio.

What a horrible view! She looked totally different.

I can understand why women want to hide their ‘natural beauty’. It isn’t so beautiful at all.

Well, I seem to be ahead of the curve on this. Several months ago, I started commenting to women that I prefer to see woman without their make-up. Because, I believe it makes women look more honest. Which, in a way, is true. And the women took my comment as a compliment.

I been conditioned not to like make up at all, it´s women´s fault.

A little story of my very early childhood:
Must have been around 3 years old. I was outside driving around with my tricycle, my mom was with me she was talking to a neighbour just about 25 meters away. A woman called me over she was looking out of a cellar window, slightly above ground level. She was drunk and wearing lots make up, in that cellar a couple of men were hanging around drinking and laughing. The woman offered me a sandwich, which I took a bite out of just to immediately spit it out again, it tasted horrible, no idea what was in that sandwich. After I took the bite and spitting it out the woman and the men in the cellar laughed out loud, pointing the finger at me. They closed the window right after they had their fun with me.
Later that day I fell sick, my stomach hurt, had fever and I puked out everything I was given, even water, the doctor came to our place that night giving me shots. Even ten days after I was puking out food, it took like 3 weeks to recover fully.
All of this is still in my mind and had it´s impact on how I perceive women..,. I don´t trust them, especially those wearing a lot of make up.

I used to work at my father’s grocery store. There was a company that picked up meat scraps especially the fat. I asked the driver what they used it for. It was used for making make up. You’re talking about meat that is smelly and going bad especially with the fat. It disgusting and women put this s~~~ on their face?
Even since I learned about this I pretty much stay away from women who wear make up.
