Hypergamy comes in many forms.

It can also be broken down & defined as:

When a woman seeks to extract more from a relationship than she contributes. Combined with a planned lack of reciprocation in any way. And with a reoccurring theme surrounding the relationship that includes requiring a man to financially sustain every aspect of the arrangement.

For example. If a woman makes $75k a year and is married to a man that makes $50k a year – Hypergamy still exists if the implied and/or stated terms she set for the relationship require the man to pay any and all bills and costs associated with the charade (relationship) and she keeps and uses all of her money for herself. It is a hybrid form of hypergamy, but still qualifies since it meets the foundational premise stated above.
