The celebrity world mourns. Look for a 30 min retrospective on tomorrow’s TMZ. But seriously — the passing of Babs’ beloved pet reminds me of the many profiles posted by middle-aged women who need to advertise on a free site to get a coffee date, who note the presence of a dog in their lives. The animal being low maintenance, needing only food and water and the occasional walk in the park, and supplying unconditional love and respect unlike men who may not / probably won’t reaffirm the writer’s status as the most wonderful creature who ever walked the earth. Giving the animal priority over “friends” (fellow MAWs with little in common besides the personality defects that keep them dateless) and “family” (kids who barely tolerate their presence and who visit only because the grandchildren demand to visit Grandma). Dog, friends, family . . . you the man come in a distant fourth. But you the man are expected to place the profile writer at the center of your universe. (Sigh . . . )

Anonymous11Streisand’s dog died? I’m overwhelmed with no f~~~s to give.
Online dating sites are a mirage.

Anonymous54I can relate to the strife of loseing your Dog.
I have a saying.
Theres only one thing worse than a bad chic singer.
A good one. This arogant c~~~ has a back stage rule.
No eye contact with her is allowed.
Oh please. I cant stand this meglamaniac.

Anonymous43on a related note, my can of feminist tears is empty, and it is almost time for lunch.
lol dating sites are like looking for a gourmet meal in a dumpster behind MCD.
I believe the good looking profiles are plants…I was chatting up some “local” hottie on the site in my area and had no idea about the local area. She sort of confessed that she was really a model and her job was to look good for a picture and put up fake profiles. She was a f~~~ing judas goat.
yeah, dating sites.
edit:
a tribute for the dog…RIP
