I’ll admit it. I never thought I would like the sober life. What I find funny is that the people that know me don’t even know that I stopped. I feel it’s better I don’t tell them. It makes it more fun. Catching people in lies is starting to become a regular thing. I haven’t called anybody out on it yet but I’m tempted. I have more endurance at work and at the gym. I’m starting to feel the way I used to when I was playing ball. I was done getting paid to play ball 25 years ago. I’m planning on going at least a full year before I decide to continue not to drink. So far I kind of like it.

What I’m really starting to notice is their is all kinds of booze available when you stop drinking. People seem to offer you more. Although I’ve never even tried a cigarette I hear smoking is the same way. Thanksgiving was a little tougher to get through but I made it. There seemed to be more booze at the party than usual. It was probably the same amount but seemed like more now that I stopped drinking. Good luck to anyone currently trying to stop or have stopped. I need a little more time to decide whether I like being on the wagon or not. Again good luck to everybody.

Hey, good for you. Hope you achieve what you’re working towards.

Everyone always says that moderation is key, but if I’m only gonna’ have one or two drinks a week, why bother drinking at all? I drink to get the buzz and I know I drink way too much and too often. I plan to quit for a while myself. Prolonged alcohol consumption can cause more health problems than I was aware of.

I gave up drinking a long time ago, but not because of the alcohol. It was because of cigarettes, believe it or not. When I drank, I wanted to smoke. So in order to quit smoking I had to quit drinking. Then when the smoking urge was gone, I went back to drinking. It worked and I haven’t smoked a cigarette in over 18 years. I puff on a cigar once in a while, but I don’t crave them and I don’t inhale the smoke.

Keep it up. It’s obviously working for you.

Good for you bro. That takes strength. I’m a binge kind of drinker. No probs being off the p~~~ for a week or more, but when it’s time I’ll smash happy hour hard and I’m good. Back to behaving. Never seen the point of only having a couple. Might as well not bother like Hermit said. If you’ve come this far bro don’t pick it up again. Good luck.

    Peace is > piece.

Well congrats, you just freed your selft from another chain.

“Booze” doesnt taste good at all, there is no biologicall or nutritional value to alcohol, we just get programmed to “party”

Btw my alien says “start drinking soon is good bussines for me”

Good job. It’s all for the better. I know how hard it is on giving up the sauce, or in my case drastically reducing my booze intake.

I was pretty hardcore in my 20s and somewhat into my 30s. I would get p~~~ed up everyday sometimes for 2 or more months straight. Whisky tastes sweet to me which made it even worse.

My desire to have a good life is what forced me out of that lifestyle.

I still get smashed a couple times a month and that satiates me for a while each time. I can go without boozing for months now and it’s not a big deal.

    Stay healthy brother.

Good going. Being sober is a great feeling, there’s more appreciation and enjoyment of life. I no longer binge drink, I get headaches the day after having more than a couple of drinks now, this prevents me from doing so very often. But I do like the taste of beer and wine, I’ll have one or two sometimes when i feel like it.

Congrats! I’m not able to handle that who-hit-John in moderation, so I steer clear myself. Beyond that, whatever other people choose to consume, it ain’t up to me to spout my pie hole about it.

Good job. I went through a drinking phase and it is astonishing how unproductive it makes every other aspect of your life.

Not chasing that dragon will free up a lot of time and money and do wonders to improve your concentration. Keep at it.

I’m a different dude. Because I was so hard core into playing baseball I didn’t take my first drink until I was done playing baseball. I was 27 years old. Yep, you read that right. I wanted to make a living at playing the game as long as I could so I chose not to drink. When I started at 27 it took almost 25 years before I was able to go at least a week without drinking. It’s now been 5 months. It’s a different world to say the least. After I completely stopped I found a lot of missing energy. I was never out of shape to begin with but now I’m in really good physical condition. I still finding myself wanting to drink but I’m usually ready to go to work so obviously I can’t. The real test will be when it starts getting warm out again. I’m in a state that is known for it’s cold weather.

I need a little more time to decide whether I like being on the wagon or not. Again good luck to everybody.

It’ all about what YOU ALLOW yourself to become.

If you stop drinking for a long period of time it just becomes “natural” to NOT drink just in the same manner is it BECAME just “natural” for you to drink.

What I’m really starting to notice is their is all kinds of booze available when you stop drinking. People seem to offer you more

THIS is no different then when Mr.Average Blue Pill just expects that you share the same “views” that he does, and he will go out of his way to press them upon you if you offer your Red pill Logic.

MANY People want Validation for their behavior whether it be Blue pill insanity, drinking, or pretty much anything else.
