[Can’t Stump TrumpParticipant]

Man steals woman’s purse. Woman runs over him with her car (he lives). Woman faces charges. I’ve read this story on several sites (one link posted below) and it seems that liberals and tradcons alike are praising her and claiming she should be let off: liberals, because she’s a woman (and pregnant); and tradcons, because they think thieves are let off too lightly.

I see where they’re coming from. It sucks to lose your money, ID, credit cards, etc. But the guy was running away, so it wasn’t self defense: it was assault with a deadly weapon. As I usually do in such cases, I imagined what the reaction would be if the genders were reversed: a man runs over a woman who stole his wallet. Would the online reaction be the same? What are your thoughts?

If the guy committed no violence in stealing it I would be apt to side with harsh punishment for her. If he had a gun or roughed her up I could see some lingering rage from a physical conflict, but she should still do time as anyone should for what amounts to attempted murder.

Says he stole it from her car, not from her person… Yea, that is a non-violent crime… She should be locked up for at least a few years depending on this guy’s injuries.

You’re right. Society is f~~~ed up. Did you read about this doctor in NT that got fired because of a couple of women? He snapped and went on a shooting spree. I don’t condone his actions, but the hospital is partially to blame for this as are the doctor and nurse that got him fired for being rude to them.
