Is a country/farming sim developed by one guy, which is like a spiritual successor of Harvest Moon, only it looks even better. Will be available on Steam shortly. 😀

Now I can live my fantasy of having a place of my own out in the country.

A jaundiced way to look at it is that it’s a game about yard work. I live in a rural area with a large yard, so I do it for real. I’d rather do it in the confines of a game.

    Quotes from Stardew Valley

“Learn to live off the land”.

Here in MG-Towers condemned forest there’s over 280 acres of American ruins! 14 roads (some impassible, others not), a lake, lots of trees (s~~~ loads of trees) and MG-Tower’s .372 Husquvarna with a 2 ft bar! I also have a chain grinder/sharpener. I’m pretty fast too..

“become part of the local community” I have, my neighbors (the wild animals that now displace the Americans that once inhabited these ruins) are full of ticks, mites, and diseases that make it necessary to have chickens to devour the parasites, mainly the ticks. But keeping poultry is a clear violation of my deed restrictions from the established Messachusetts corporation, that once upon a time (prior to 1/10/1974) governed this place called Brookhaven; Incorporated Sep.10th 1968, Enjoined from conducting, controlling, managing, and operating by court decree as the judge placed this corporation under necessity of a license, motel defined,,,,, https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXX/Chapter140/Section32A
Oh yea, it’s also been legally closed since 7/18/1997 as a CEASE AND DESIST order was posted on the public bulletin board and the entire place was roped off and closed for all purposes public and private. As you Brits like to say; “a sticky wicket”, so as far as “become part of the local community” NOT Sorry, but I’m strictly prohibited by Massachusetts law and public order from that activity, including but not limited to other activities like freely assembling at the closed and ruined meeting house of the condemned corporation.
I know it’s hard to wrap your head around that, but that’s how the red-pill works, at first it’s confusion, disbelief, and denial, then it runs it’s red river course through your mind, the investigation starts to sooth the brain razors that slice your thinking to manburger! Then the truth sets in as the anger boils down to indifference, then with a clear and logical plan, you go your own way… CHOP CHOP CHOP! PLANT PLANT PLANT! TEAR A NEW ASSHOLE IN HISTORY IF THAT’S WHAT IT TAKES!

I had a Stihl 880 with a 36″ bar. A beast. Took down a 42″ wide poplar with it. It almost took longer to sharpen the teeth than cut the tree down!

Love your slice of land, MGTower, why is it condemned?

There was something calming, almost therapeutic about harvest moon. It was farmville before farmville. I played a bunch as a kid, but not so much any more.
