There is obviously no shortage of articles or videos out there praising single mothers to the heavens. These propaganda pieces always portray single mothers as these wonderful, responsible creatures who are all victims of the actions of some horrible man that walked out on them. Here’s the truth they WON’T tell you:

1. There are tons of single moms who are s~~~ty parents.

Yeah, there’s no shortage of single moms out there who abuse and neglect their children. Having a vagina doesn’t make you a great parent. Just look at the percentage of prisoners raised by single mothers. Other than being s~~~ty parents, the one thing all bad single mothers have in common is that they all believe that they are amazing parents just because they are single moms.

2. The vast majority of single mothers are in their situation because of their own s~~~ty behaviour.

Yeah, everybody loves to paint single moms as “Women who had a kid with a man because she was in love with him and then he left her high and dry”. This scenario is hardly ever the case, but it’s the one society uses because it paints women as innocent victims. The truth is most single moms are in their situation because of divorce, because the relationship with their boyfriend didn’t work out (possibly because she’s a selfish c~~~ who no sane man should be expected to put up with), or because she f~~~ed so many guys in such a short time span that she has no idea who the father is.

3. Dating a single mother can result in you paying child support for her kids.

This isn’t a joke. An increasing number of men are being forced to pay child support for kids that belong to an ex-girlfriend in order to relieve the government of the burden of payment. DO NOT put yourself in this situation!

Avoid single moms at all costs! They’re in that situation for a reason, and if you’re not careful it will be YOUR WAGES getting garnished to pay for her flock of future jail birds!

I’ll vouch for that. People look at a single mum and automatically map out this desperate backstory where she “brought a child into the world, only to have him turn around and dump her – leaving her alone and their child fatherless”.

Why is that always the first place that their minds go to? Nine times out of ten she was the one who ended things with him, and is probably denying him access to the kid to boot. The only thing that she won’t be denying him access to is her bank account, so that he’ll know where to stick his wages.

The words “Single mother” is synonymous with being a saint to society. Plenty of them became single because they pushed the man out the door with divorce. And men still get called dead beats even though the woman has made a conscious choice to be a single mother.

And now there are all these single mothers out there, and society wants a man to take care of them. Funny how they want a man to date a single mother while they simultaneously lay all the blame at men’s feet. Once again, they say women can do no wrong. Focus all the good in the world and give women the credit and blame everything bad on men.

Interesting topic indeed.
The celebrating and worshipping of single mothers seemed to gain momentum with the Murphy Brown TV series and the story line where she becomes a single mother. Since then, single mothers are celebrated because a fictional character on TV named Murphy Brown did it. Most single mothers don’t have the professional career and income that the TV character Murphy Brown did. I also believe that had the character been played by a celebrity with a poor reputation similar to Lindsey Lohan or Miley Cyrus, the concept would not have received the overwhelming approval that it did. Class over trash definitely sold the idea to America.
I too used to think that in the single mother situations that women were the victims of heartless, cowardly men who were shrugging off their responsibilities. When I was younger and naive, I believed the whole feminist ideology that men always preyed on women and that women were victims and that they couldn’t possibly be at fault for their problems. Now more than ever I realize that women are the source of their own problems. Being a woman means forgiveness for mistakes and bad choices. It is opposite for a man. Even the slightest error in judgement can have devastating consequences for a man. We learn at a young age that society is cruel and not tolerant of mistakes and errors.

Feminism isn't about equality with men, it's about leverage over men.

I think the reason for the increase is BS stories, and governmental advancement of propaganda about “single mothers” is the simple fact that more and more men are NOT willing to risk everything they have and may have in the future for someone with s~~~ty decision making skills and a lack of personal responsibility.
The governments are trying to devolve financial support for “single moms” on to individual men who had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of her offspring.

Being a widow with children because the father died at work, is completely different than a thug baby daddy getting double tapped or imprisoned for committing a crime.
Popping out womb turds due to bad decisions, or for welfare/support from the “state’ or enforced by the “state” is another matter.

If I get the sudden urge to spend my money raise/supporting another child. I’ll adopt one, not pay for someone elses s~~~ty choices

Here’s just one example where s~~~ty Moms attended a movie called “BAD MOMS” taking their kids to an R-rated film… and they actually praise themselves thinking they are “part of a super-awesome group”.

My Mom NEVER went to the movies after we were born – ever. She would think being out at 8PM breastfeeding your child in an R-rated movie is the mark of pure insanity. And they do it in groups of 50 now.

A few years ago, she and her sister (my aunt) were visiting , and I remember their reaction to seeing ONE child in a grocery store at 10:30PM downtown. My mother was horrified at the sight of it and still talks about that single mom who bought potato chips and beer…… and her 4 year old in flip flops and dirty hands and knees wanted a chocolate bar and she bought it for the kid — and let the child eat it with those filthy hands.

I will even marvel at the way they push their strollers across the street without looking or chatting on their phones.

My mom spent some time as a single mom due to my father passing. It is difficult. I had to man up at an earlier age due to it.
