I don’t follow baseball, but I just read about this guy, Chicago Cubs star Ben Zobrist who was a world series MVP in 2016:

Apparently, he filed for legal separation from his wife for “inappropriate marital conduct.” It sounds to me like she had an affair.

Now, she is apparently filing for divorce in Illinios, most likely for the benefits of divorce laws in that state.

Time and time again, it’s clear that the only winning hand is to not to play the game. It doesn’t matter how rich, how famous, how alpha you are…it just doesn’t matter. It’s never enough. What only matters is her “feelings” at the moment which are as transient as the weather.

Zobrist’s wife, Julianna, filed for divorce Monday in Cook County, Ill., the Chicago Sun-Times reported. Julianna reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences.”
Julianna Zobrist is a professional singer. She has sung the national anthem at several Cubs games in the past and performed “God Bless America” before a 2016 World Series game at Wrigley Field, according to the Sun-Times.”

For women a husband is less about who than what they get. We all know handsome athletic guys get to dump their load in hot women. However women don’t necessarily marry a man because he is these things. They marry him for what he brings to them -lifestyle, status, security, wealth. It doesn’t matter if you are Chad, if you marry you are married for your Beta qualities. A fat old politician with an obnoxious personality will never want for a wife if he is successful but a poor unsuccessful but handsome man will have to content himself with short term relationships.

Its not that it is not enough to be the most handsome, the most wealthy, the most athletic… its that she saw more opportunity by jumping off your branch. You have been banked. What is next? It might be that your branch is a great place to be but why not visit Chad’s branch from time to time. You are security, he is entertainment. It might be that your wealth is hers now if she divorces and so why not do that, then she can get on with self actualising on your money.
