I don’t really care what the alt-right is or isn’t, but it’s ridiculous (and very common) to right off the merits of an opinion or argument by calling it racist. I see it as a growing tactic by the left as a way to end any constructive disagreement. These days, if you talk with your average liberal, their goal is to see if they can twist anything you say to be racist or bigoted, call you such, then shut it down.

I agree. As a hispanic it p~~~es me off to no end that America has gone mad with “racist fears”. There is no one hanging or lynching blacks and hispanics like they used to a century ago for being suspected of a crime, or in my family’s situation being robbed (though still a crime) for having large portions of land and property. Now it is perfectly fine to lynch white people for SIMPLY HAVING A AMERICAN-CENTRIC political view.

Now the greatest power you have is to tell your critics: “There is absolutely nothing wrong with racism.” or even “Yeah, I AM racist, bigoted, and a nazi and it FEELS SO GOOD.”

The word has lost all meaning and merit. You will be called racist, bigoted, and nazi anyway, so EMBRACE IT PROUDLY and they s~~~ their pants. I’ve shut people down because they don’t have a retort for being a proud and smug racist/etc.

My take is to not confuse random noise with some giant conspiracy. The internet tends to get a bunch of people with like minds to come together and form a sub-culture behind it. This isn’t directed by anyone, but just happens when humans gather. What you get, from the likes of Anonymous, to Gamergate, to MGTOW, to other things, is what looks like something that is coordinated and with leaders, and so on, but there isn’t such things.

I am of the belief that conspiracy theories are a form of system manipulation used to distract people, and often discredit those who don’t go mainstream, so that no one pays attention to them. If you buy into those, you will end up being shut out of discourse and be seen nuts.

As for what “alt-right” is, it apparently the name has origins with those who aligned with it:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alt-right

My take on it, is that it is where paleoconservatives ended up after the neo-conservatives came in, and there was a push by the conservative side to go pro-globalization.

And what happened with gamergate? What happened with the tea-party? What happened to Operation Wall Street? What happened to Anonymous?

All which had an initially great concept got hit hard with controlled demolition through subversion and co-opt. Start paying attention to trends. If you keep playing the same game they keep beating you with the same tactics.

Why is MGTOW different and has yet to be subverted as of yet? And believe me they are trying with Tuna and media trying to get us to “tone it down”.

And for groups that aren’t as individually focused and amorphous it has come to pass that an ideology based on extremism are the only one more hardened against being busted up by shills and sjw’s. The alt-right is the PERFECT corral to demolish a bunch of people of various ideologies that they have been grouping together.

When it happens the only one’s who are going to tug along like nothing happened are the extreme cultures that have been pro-active as hell weeding out subversive elements no different than the way we kick out tuna.

What I would say is, with a label that has no governing body over it, the moment that label gets some traction and attention, individuals who have something that they see relates to the label, will go with it, and add their own two cents and try to shape it. All the things I said connect with this. You also saw AVFM do this with MGTOW. Get numbers under a label, and individuals will attempt to pile into it, to shape it. With Gamergate, you saw a bunch of conservatives coming into it, and I saw one video that hand a bunch of blue donkeys dropping poop space invader bombs, and the speaker tipped the hat at them, saying how it was some sort of movement to fight progressives, because you saw progressive types crying over it.

Individuals come in and try to manipulate and spin, and some practice counter ops. Very little of this is government involved. As I hold it now, powerful elites hide in the noise and try to do what they want to, and do post-spin. The noise has a life of its own, and isn’t controlled. Well, that is my take.

Racism is the first reason people assume is the cause for someone’s actions and opinions, when it should be the last.

The acquisition of racism causes hatred and prevents any viable solution to a problem from being implemented. Is it a coincidence that tension and violence between police and black folks has increased since BLM came around?

I could not said that better myself. Racist, is a misused lable by those that wish to end a losing discussion/argument. Most people that lable others racist today have no conception of what a real racist is even if they were bit on the ass by one.

Racism has a number of definitions, from the superiority of one’s own race to others, to a belief that people’s identity are bound and identified by race, and culture is tied to it. With this later one (the video I posted argues this), then men aren’t free to choose culture, and can’t change, and are bound to be loyal to strangers who they don’t know, just because they share genetic code. With this, will come come the holders of racial purity, and demands that men breed with people of their own race, to keep it pure.

Being that at a time people were identified not by race by nation, and as time went on and people moved all over and those that wanted to classify people found that nation no longer fit the people of the region described and did no good for classification’s sake. So they coined the term race based on similar appearances/genetics/cultures. That being said would the the loyalty to strangers because of more shared genetic code be a relation to the fact that early people of early nations had to stick quite close in order to survive? And as a result of it is such an ingrained almost instinct that still survives to this day?

No one man is free to chose culture, race, nation, or what you’d like to call it. Its for lack of a better term a chance to end up one thing or another. But being that said if I understand your post correctly, every race is inherently racist because of unexplained loyalty to genetics?

Very interesting and some good thoughts, however I do not see how that relates to the point I was making about the term racist being a misused lable to further agenda, beliefs, and opinions of certain groups in society that excel in such tactics. Perhaps I am missing your point.

I posted this in a different topic, but it better fits here

It appears to me that “alt-right” is a trap – they took all the right tea-party ideas and coopted and infiltrated it by claiming that “white nationalism” is a core principle of it.
So instead of anti-multiculturalism it became white nationalism.
It was also made hip and infected with bunch of young people who don’t understand what they’re signing up for.
It’s like they took tea party and renamed it into alt-right, just like they renamed AlQaeda into Isis/Daesh.
I was recently approached to join the alt-right movement, and I declined, because I want nothing to do with the “white” part of it. I am not a racist. I agree with most of the postulates of alt-right, but I refuse to be called “white nationalist”. Skin color or origin has nothing to do with political views and ideology in my opinion. This is a trap.
My worry is that once this movement grows – the whole “white” component of it will be brought to light, so anyone who’s part of it will be labeled racist and dismissed regardless if they were racists or not.
So tons of well-meaning people who don’t look at someone’s origins will be ostracized and dismissed.
This is a part of the plan to kill the tea party in my opinion.
Libertarian ideas have already been co-opted infiltrated and turned into progressive liberalism. Tea party now too – with transformation into alt-right.

What I have opposition with, as seen in the original video, is that somehow, genetics play a basis today in the form of culture, and the implication is one is limited to what their own race does, and you are to have an affinity to it. Culture gets tied to genetics and I am to look to where I am, for this. I can say this was more so on the past, but with advent of the United States, and what you see with globalization, this is fading away. I see the racially driven side of alt-right wanting to cling to this past, which I hold is of no benefit to myself personally, or really anyone who doesn’t want to conform to social norms. I also hold, for such individuals, they can pick and choose what works for them, and they become cultures of one.

I think I better understand what you are saying here. That each races supposed affinity with its supposed culture is quite counter productive to any one wishing to go their own way or deviate from any preconceived notion of their supposed norm based upon a supposed race/culture relation.
