That’s the very opposite of a grown man.
I was somewhat like him, about between 17 an 25: more sex with more women = more validation. It was all about numbers, it was like bulimia nervosa but with women instead of food and without sense of guilt (it was the very opposite of guilt, I felt special, and it was more women = more special).
But it wasn’t about compliments or approvation: I felt special just only f~~~ing a good number of women. I never really trusted compliments, I never cared about approvation: it’s just only words, accessing pussy was a real thing, a fact.
Nowadays I have sometimes a similar sensation: this time I feel special at the thought that I’m NOT having sex with women, but it’s lighter sensation and happens quite rarely.
